CBS has become the latest network to announce spring 2014 finale dates for its shows. Most end in May, as usual, but two will close out in April and there are even some shows ending as early as the end of March.How I Met Your Mother kicks everything off with its previously announced one-hour series finale on March 31. Last week, the Brains finally kicked their butts in gear and decided to join the competition. Last week on Survivor, after a mad treasure hunt resulting in Spencer finding a (normal) hidden immunity idol, Kass decided to stay the course and vote out Morgan instead of physical threat and wildcard, Tony. Let‘s see how her decision affects the game moving forward.  Read more »
Last week on Survivor, Tony cemented his alpha status by blindsiding his ally, L.J., before he got the chance to blindside him (even though it wasn‘t even on L.J.‘s radar; I guess that‘s why it‘s a blindside). Let‘s see if his decision completely breaks up his old alliance and puts him in jeopardy, or if it puts him in a favorable position in with a new one.  Read more »
Last week, Tony found the all powerful hidden immunity idol, Spencer wasted his on a Tribal Council where he didn‘t receive any votes, and Calvin Klein model Jeremiah was sent home. The Beauties are the first of the original tribes to officially be eliminated. I suppose it‘s not that big of a surprise considering the Brawn and the Brains had more skills besides their looks to get them through the game. So now there are three Brawns (Woo, Tony and Trish), and three Brains (Spencer, Tasha and Kass).  Read more »

The Broadcast Television Journalists Association has announced nominations for the 2014 Critics‘ Choice TV Awards, and both network and cable TV lead the field. The Big Bang Theory, The Good Wife, Fargo, Masters of Sex and the recent HBO film The Normal Heart are tied for the most nods with five each.The Americans, Breaking Bad, Orange is the New Black and Sherlock: His Last Vow all have four nominations. Read more »
