In Hudson Valley, New York, in 1781 at the opening of the Sleepy Hollow premiere, Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) is in the midst of a battle. He is approached by a Hessian soldier, German mercenaries employed by the British, riding a white horse, who he shoots. The man falls, hits the ground and it would seem the threat against Crane has been neutralized. Instead, the man, wearing a Jason Voorhees type mask, immediately arises and practically disembowels a still stunned Crane. Before collapsing from his wound, Crane manages to decapitate his executor. Read more »

When we last left the dashing Revolutionary War double agent Ichabod Crane, he had been resurrected after 250 years, thrown in jail for what boiled down to jaywalking and learned he and Lt. Abbie Mills are all that stand between humanity and the apocalypse.There was a whole lot more that happened in between: his wife who may or may not be technically dead is most definitely a witch, he and Abbie had to procure the head of the headless horseman, Abbie discovered that her recently deceased former partner had been investigating strange occurrences and supernatural events taking place not only in Sleepy Hollow but all over New England, and the new police captain didn‘t seem to find the fact that the neck wounds of two decapitated murder victims being completely cauterized (kind of an important detail) were a relevant clue. Read more »

After a long vacay, hopefully Abbie and Ichabod -- the dashing male protagonist desperately needs a nickname, and Icky just does not work -- are well rested. Abbie‘s soul is in danger, and this comes from a very reliable source: Moloch himself. The two-hour season 1 finale of FOX‘s Sleepy Hollow had everything fans could want. There was comedy, mystery and, most importantly, some truly jaw-dropping twists and surprises at the very end that made me squeal with delight.
