Christina Applegate is taking an Olsen twin under her wing on tonight's episode of Samantha Who?, which has been titled “Help!” We'll see just who needs a hand, when petty crimes result in comic but critical consequences.
After incurring the wrath of a policeman for a traffic altercation, Samantha (Christina Applegate) is sentenced to hours of community service. Excited to do something good for once, she finds this as an opportunity to give back to society. She then meets Natalie (Mary Kate Olsen), a rebellious young woman who reminds her of herself. This wily, pre-accident version of Sam might give her a run for her money, literally.

While freshmen shows are eagerly anticipating their full season orders, some have already succeeded in landing a season, or at the very least, more episodes. NBC has gone ahead to order a full season of Kath and Kim despite its mediocre ratings. In fact, the network recently expressed their thoughts on the American rendition of the Australian original created by Gina Riley, Jane Turner and Rick McKenna, saying that it is one of those shows which they truly “believe in.”
Meanwhile, another network has stepped forward to bless a show for another additional episodes order. On Friday, ABC ordered seven more episodes of Samantha Who?, which stars Christina Applegate as the titular character.

Following a hit and run accident that left in an eight-day coma, Samantha Newly wakes up with retrograde amnesia. And though she's retained all general knowledge, she doesn't have a clue as to who she is or what she's done with her life. On the quest to discover herself, she starts to realize how much of a horrible person she was and has now made a decision to improve herself. She continues to do so on the second season premiere of Samantha Who?, airing tonight at 9:30pm on ABC.

Veteran actress and lately appearing on the last two seasons of The L Word Cybill Shepherd will grace the premiere of the ABC series Samantha Who? alongside Dancing with the Stars' Mark Ballas, slated to air on October 13, 9:30pm on ABC.
Originally scheduled to debut on October 6, the Samantha Who? premiere entitled “So I Think I Can Dance” will have Samantha (Christina Applegate) teaming up with her mother (Jean Smart) for a dance competition to beat Regina's nemesis, Paula Drake. Shepherd will play Paula Drake, who will hire Mateo (Ballas) as her dance partner to help her win the contest.

Late last month, word spread that another cancer awareness program is gathering celebrities to support the good cause. In fact, the movement, aptly tagged Stand Up to Cancer, is a rare television fundraiser which will air simultaneously without any commercial interruption on TV networks ABC, CBS and NBC in September. The event has already gathered quite a number of Hollywood A-listers, including Meryl Streep, who most recently appeared in the musical film Mamma Mia. Other stars to grace the event include Charlize Theron, Jennifer Aniston, Salma Hayek, Sally field and sports celebrity Lance Armstrong.
“The support we've received from the creative community is remarkable,” producer for the show Laura Ziskin told Reuters. “My phone is constantly ringing with people asking, 'What can I do and how can I help?' We hope viewers all over the country will do the same.”

After a great performance on the series Weeds, ABC confirmed that Mary-Kate, one half of the super Olsen twins, will guest-star in this season of the drama series Samantha Who?.
Samantha Who? insiders confirmed that the 22-year old former child actress and business mogul will play a self-destructive bad girl whom Samantha, played by Christina Applegate, will try to save. She will supposedly remind the new Samantha of her pre-amnesia life and wants to prevent MK from taking the same destructive path she did.

Samantha Who?, the sitcom about a hit-and-run victim who develops full retrograde amnesia and has to rediscover her life after being in a coma for eight days, has delighted viewers with a cast of colorful characters for its first 15 episodes. Christina Applegate, who plays titular character Sam, has charmed viewers with her struggle with memory loss, while Barry Watson has entertained fans as Sam's ex-boyfriend Todd Deepler. Then there's also Jean Smart, who plays Sam's mom Regina, Jennifer Esposito as Sam's co-worker Andrea, Melissa McCarthy as Sam's childhood friend Dena, and Kevin Dunn Howard as Sam's dad.
While the current cast of Samantha Who? may be enough to keep viewers in tune for the upcoming second season, the producers of the ABC series have decided to add more characters in attempt to give more zest to the show.
