Revenge. It‘s a family show, really.OK, maybe Revenge isn‘t the heartwarming love-fest we usually associate with TV families, but, as proved by this week‘s "Absolution," family is at the core of everything on Revenge. The incredibly twisted Grayson, Clarke and Ross families pretty much created all of the conflict in the episode. What are the results? Keep reading for some theories. Read more »
In this week‘s Revenge, the entire episode is a flashback -- and a flashback in a flashback. It‘s all a bit confusing, and I‘m not sure that it was executed well. In one flashback, it‘s 2002, when the Graysons throw their New Year‘s Eve party, where Amanda Clarke gets herself there to check out all the people she‘ll be seeking revenge against. Further in the past, we see the first time David Clarke and Victoria meet.  Read more »

An awful lot of the drama on Revenge revolves around family secrets. The Graysons alone would have enough skeletons in their spacious closets to fill up most shows! Last season, the Revenge finale was an explosive ending (literally), when Victoria Grayson‘s plane blew up along with all the evidence to incriminate Conrad Grayson. Plus, Emily Thorne had a less literal bomb dropped on her when she found out that her mother that she assumed dead all these years appears to actually be alive. In other words, things were just a tad crazy in the Hamptons last May. Of course, in the world of Revenge, this is exactly how we like it.The premiere kicks off with scuba divers, because how else would you expect our favorite primetime soap opera about revenge to begin? They‘re investigating a wreck that you may assume is the plane that just blew into a thousand pieces, but sorry, you‘re wrong.  It looks like in about three months Revenge time (which could be any number of months in the real world) Jack‘s boat, Amanda, does its best impression of Victoria‘s plane. This opening scene serves up the first mystery of the season, but the next 60 minutes proceeds to pile on more and more crazy events.  Read more »
Yes, we have already learned that Victoria isn‘t dead, but this week is her unexpected "coming out party" for everyone else. Her return isn‘t the most happy of occasions, but then again, when is anyone ever happy in the world of Revenge? Victoria‘s "resurrection" does stir up all kinds of crazy, and that is something we expect on this show. Read more »
It takes a special mother to have raised a conniving and evil -- yet beautiful and charming -- woman like Victoria Grayson. Thus, it will have to take a special actress to play that mother. The people at Revenge obviously think they have found this mommy dearest: The show has cast Adrienne Barbeau in the role of Victoria‘s mother. Read more »
Revenge has finally revealed where Emily‘s mother has been. Most shows would have tried to squeeze this mystery out for an entire season. Revenge is the TV show equivalent of a 12-year-old child who just chugged five bottles of Coke. The pace of this show has always made a cheetah seem slow, but this season has made it a goal to drop about 10 plot twists an episode. So we shouldn‘t be surprised that this reveal has already happened, but how could we have predicted what she had been up to? Read more »
The series finale of Gossip Girl might be a homecoming for two of its original stars who have since moved on. The CW drama is currently filming its series finale in New York, and on Tuesday, star Kelly Rutherford tweeted a photo that might spoil a big surprise.  Read more »
Don‘t you just hate it when you haven‘t seen a family member for over 10 years and then find their number one hobby is trying to kill you? If you do, then you have an idea what a bummer Emily‘s sort of reunion with her mother has been. Emily has been working hard to find her mother, but it doesn‘t look like the relationship will involve a mother and daughter tea. On the other hand, Emily closely observes the Graysons, and they are the greatest example of why families may be overrated. Read more »
I guess it‘s time to get used to Aiden.Emily‘s murderous, vengeful and kind-of-hot ex will be sticking around the Hamptons for awhile, it seems. Barry Sloane, the British actor who plays Aiden Mathis, has had his recurring role upped to a regular part on Revenge season 2. Find out more about this and what‘s coming for Aiden here. Read more »
The latest Revenge is all about forgiveness and healing shattered relationships. Well, it isn‘t much of a Revenge episode if it is all about that. It still needs deceit, betrayal and crazy. It has a rather shocking dose of heart and sincerity, and it seems like -- gasp -- some characters really have feelings. Is it actually true that not all hearts in the Hamptons are made of ice? Read more »
Revenge presents another episode that reminds me that my own marriage is a blessing.  Sure, all relationships are complicated, and have their problems.  On Revenge, relationships are usually slightly more dangerous than blindfolding yourself and dancing on a highway.  This week, there are a few sweet and loving moments, but for the most part, I‘m just glad I‘m not married in the show‘s version of the Hamptons. Read more »
Who in the polls had Mason Treadwell being the next person Emily reveals her true identity to? If you did, then was your next guess that he might be taking an extended vacation from the series shortly after his discovery?I don‘t want this to be the end of the Treadwell character on Revenge, because he is great at creating extra chaos for this show. He also is proving to have depth, because he is a sleazy writer, but he truly wants to cleanse his soul from his part in David Clarke‘s fall. But he can‘t offer up too many delicious storylines while he frantically types away in prison. If this is the wrap up for the Treadwell character, then he departs with a big bang. Read more »
The People‘s Choice Award nominations for 2013 have been revealed, and oddly enough, the People‘s Choices have very little in common with actual ratings.  Read more »
Revenge is bursting with characters and storylines, and sometimes we‘re left begging for a map or guide. "Lineage" provides some much-needed help by offering a flashback to 2006 that reveals the genesis to several major storylines. It also helps explain the motivations and past of key characters. Read more »
An episode of Revenge means lives are being ruined, and "Revelations" follows that tradition perfectly. Emily, of course, continues to do whatever it takes to make the Graysons‘ lives resemble hell, and Victoria proves why she ranks high on everyone‘s top TV villains list. Now, you‘ve got Daniel trying his best to crush the lives of people like Nolan, and Kenny and Nate Ryan do some literal crushing. All this ruining of lives makes season 2 even more intriguing with promises for some pretty action-packed and unpredictable upcoming storylines. Read more »
Could the unthinkable happen on Revenge? Could Emily and Victoria actually partner up on a plan ... together? Yes, that‘s redundant, but what a shocker that would be if it happened. Though, you know if they are working together, they are also working their own agendas against the other, right? Read more »
Why are Emily and Aiden hooded up and getting it on outdoors on the upcoming Revenge episode, "Power"? Is it just a moment of passion between the two or is this part of one of Emily‘s plots? While she may be with Aiden here, according to the previews she may well start another romance. Read more »
Revenge is back with the season 2 episode "Power," with Daniel looking all CEO-y now that he‘s in charge of Grayson Global, and one of the members of the Initiative tells him his father has much bigger secrets. And there‘s Emily and Aidan getting involved in their version of foreplay: fighting/training on the beach before trading kisses. What a great opener to the second half of the season! Read more »
Emily and Daniel are back together! On last Sunday‘s Revenge, Emily and Aiden pretended to break up and he didn‘t look very happy when she kissed Daniel on the porch. So, is Emily and Daniel‘s relationship really a fauxmance? Despite her quest to bring down the Grayson family, Emily did have genuine feelings for Daniel when they dated and then were engaged. Will she fall for him again? Read more »
Revenge has always been about deception and trickery; after all, the entire premise is about a girl pretending to be someone else so she can get vengeance for her father. "Sabotage" delivers an extra dose of deception as several of the characters celebrate Halloween early by impersonating someone they aren‘t. The episode sets up several crazy storylines that promise the rest of season 2 will be full of broken hearts and bones. Read more »
Breakups are pretty much about as fun as dipping your head into a bucket of angry bees. Unless of course we‘re talking about breakups on Revenge, because those can be amazingly entertaining. "Collusion" this week is all about relationships going sour, which hopefully sets up some pretty explosive episodes during sweeps month. This is more a buildup episode, but there are still some pretty significant moments worth discussing. Read more »
The red marker has been put away for a few weeks, but we have some scoop for you about Revenge‘s return in February. The childhood dream of a Jack-Amanda wedding comes true, only it‘s not the real Amanda getting married. Poor Emily. The official synopsis from ABC for "Union." Read more »
In "Union," wedding bells are ringing for Jack and Amanda, which stirs up past feelings for Emily as all she can do is watch. What she doesn‘t know is how Amanda goes behind her back to blackmail Conrad, which in the end may have grave consequences. Read more »
Revenge season 2 started with the Amanda on the bottom of the ocean and in "Sacrifice," how it ended up there with a dead body on board will be revealed. Did Jack go down with his ship? Or, did someone else? And, who makes a sacrifice? So many questions to be answered on this hour. Read more »

It‘s March, which can only mean one thing: March Madness! Here at BuddyTV, we‘re all about pop culture instead of NCAA tournaments. But we do love brackets. Revenge returns with an Emily that is back on mission and seeking to take down those who took both her father and her friend away. On "Retribution," Jack wakes up to find that his wife has died and Amanda is laid to rest. It‘s sure to be a heartbreaking episode. Read more »
"Retribution" is just that -- making people pay. Except it doesn‘t happen, but sets up the pieces to do so. The old Emily is back, and it‘s nice to see her again. She‘s always been here, but has either been slightly distracted or didn‘t know what was going on to the people around her. It‘s unfortunate that in order for Emily to get back to her revenge-y ways, there is a sacrifice, but it has to happen in the overall scheme of things. Read more »
With Amanda‘s death on Revenge, Emily probably thought her real identity was safe, only she didn‘t count on her foster brother, Eli, showing up. On "Illumination," the determination to get revenge against the Graysons expands, while Emily is forced to protect herself. Read more »
In "Illumination," a party for the newly formed Amanda Clarke foundation that‘s been headed up by Victoria brings everyone to the Grayson mansion. Even Jack, who‘s getting good at lying these days, and Eli, Amanda‘s foster brother that Emily‘s trying to get rid of. I can‘t say that this episode is particularly interesting since there isn‘t much action or butt-kicking. Other than Daniel getting a black eye. Read more »
ABC may not be in last place, ratings-wise, among the networks (that dishonor goes to NBC), but they‘re closing out the announcements for this spring‘s season finale dates. Most of their shows end in May, as usual, with The Neighbors and Suburgatory ending in March and April, respectively. Read more »

It‘s been six weeks in Revenge time since we last visited them, since Emily found out about Victoria‘s mysterious son and since Padma was kidnapped. In "Masquerade," the annual Grayson masquerade ball -- which was canceled last year due to Daniel‘s trial -- sets up Emily‘s latest plan nicely, and Nolan tries to do whatever he can to get his love back. Also, Declan wants to make sure we know it‘s Halloween time in March as he carves a pumpkin. Read more »
Relationships are getting more complicated on Revenge.  In "Identity,"  Emily and Daniel take their re-kindled romance public on a nationally televised interview, which causes problems for her with both Aiden and Jack. Read more »
Revenge took a break on the Initiative for a week, and instead Emily and Nolan go bird hunting. It is actually a bit shocking the writers went with the Falcon reveal and downfall so quickly, because I guessed it would have been dragged out to the finale. Of course, there are several other juicy secrets and surprises that are being built up. This week offers up a rather nice dose of resolving some stories while also adding loads more intrigue and mystery. Read more »
On last Sunday‘s Revenge, Daniel gave Emily her engagement ring once again, but it was her love Aiden that put it on her finger. Will Emily keep the ring on as a signal to Daniel that she wants to marry him? Tonight‘s episode is titled "Engagement," so we have the answer. Read more »
The buzz over the last few weeks has been the revelation that a major character who is close to Emily will be killed in the finale. Like many of the readers, I‘m nervous about the future of Nolan, since he is Emily‘s closest ally. This is the last episode before the big two-hour finale, and so it‘s the best chance to get hints of who could be exiting the series.  Instead, "Engagement" delivers a big shocker of another major recurring character getting killed. Read more »
ABC has been a little late to the game in terms of announcements for the 2013-2014 TV season. While the other four major networks have revealed almost all of their renewals, cancellations and new pick-ups, ABC has been completely silent. Until now.The network has officially renewed many returning shows, including freshman hit Nashville and bubble comedy Suburgatory. Sadly, it also cancelled one of the funniest shows on TV, the low-rated Happy Endings, as well as five other shows. It has also picked up the high-profile series Marvel‘s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. produced by Joss Whedon, the Rebel Wilson comedy Super Fun Night and more. Read more »
