Articles for Pretty Little Liars Season 2

Pretty Little Liars gets better and better with each episode. This one was extraordinary! I especially liked it since we got introduced to two new characters: Caleb, the mysterious and hot bad boy, and Simone, Aria‘s former babysitter, who stirs up a little trouble. Read more »
I loved this episode of Pretty Little Liars! We were introduced to another new character this week. Her name is Paige, and she is played by Lindsey Shaw. I have loved her ever since her Ned‘s Declassified days! In this episode, Em faces trouble when a new swimmer arrives. Aria and Ezra attempt to have their first date in public. Hanna is still being manipulated by A, and Spencer confronts an ugly part of her past. Read more »
This episode of PLL was amazing! This week we got to see more of the new characters, Paige and Caleb. Caleb is quickly becoming one of my fav PLL hotties! A crucial swim meet for the Rosewood Sharks is making trouble for Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer. Emily and Paige are back at each others‘ throats, as they go head to head against each other to compete for the anchor leg of the big race. Caleb calls in his favor with a guilty Hanna as she tries to prevent Aria from asking too many questions about Ella‘s ticket to the museum opening. Meanwhile, Spencer decides to tutor a student to try and get some answers.  Read more »
In "The Bad Seed," the girls‘ doubts, fears and suspicions grow as they start to wonder what evil truly looks like. Is it the girl who holds a grudge and will do anything to keep her loved ones near? Is it the new brother-in-law who might have a darker side beneath the surface? Or is it an unknown stranger who is playing puppet master with four girls‘ lives? Also, Aria sees the school play, not-so-subtly-titled "The Bad Seed," as an opportunity to get closer to Ezra, but trying to get closer to him has a downside.  Read more »

In this episode, we got to see more of PLL hottie, Caleb! I hope that this was not our final time getting to see him. This week, Garrett keeps a close watch on the girls as Rosewood celebrates Founders‘ Day. Meanwhile, the girls hide their feelings and the status of certain relationships, such as Hanna‘s love for the boy who broke her heart and Spencer‘s friendship with Toby. Read more »
"A" was kind enough to spread a little luck around yesterday for St. Patrick‘s day. I got another package in the mail from the mysterious Pretty Little Liar‘s "A" over at ABC Family yesterday.  This one contained a small four leaf clover plant and card. Obviously, there was a message from "A" saying:  Read more »
This season finale was amazing! It had a whole lot of drama. Also, it had surprises around every corner! In this episode, the girls decide that it‘s time to finally put an end to "A" and the mystery surrounding Ali. Without certain proof that their hunch is right, the Liars may have to turn to an unlikely source of information to help them put a stop to "A" once and for all. Read more »
The summer premiere of Pretty Little Liars is still a way off, but that doesn‘t mean A is gone from our lives. Last week was Earth Day and the mysterious A got in on the celebration, sending BuddyTV another package. This time the note read: SHOVELS AND GLOVES GO TOGETHER LIKE SECRETS AND LIES. WHAT WILL YOU DIG UP? HAPPY EARTH DAY! -A Read more »
Another CW hottie is now off the market. With last season‘s finale, questions were left unanswered for the fans of Pretty Little Liars. Now, the long wait is over as the series debuts its sophomore season tonight with the episode "It‘s Alive."It‘s back to the events that occurred in the church, as the girls are forced to recount the details of their story to the police. Their families are concerned as well, especially when none of them is able to keep their facts straight. As the mystery of Ian‘s disappearance looms over them, the girls are sent to a therapist (guest star Annabeth Gish) to provide some answers. Read more »
This past Tuesday, ABC Family‘s teen sensation, Pretty Little Liars, had its season two premiere. The episode picked up right where the show left off in March, leaving a lot of drama for all of the liars. At the heart of it all was Spencer (Troian Bellisario) who‘s pregnant sister‘s fiance, Ian, nearly killed her. Oh, and he may or may not be dead.Today, Troian Bellisario spoke to the press about her character, the upcoming season, her secret rock star aspirations and of course about the elusive, A.  Read more »

Secrets are hard to keep, especially for four pretty girls from Rosewood -- Aria, Spencer, Hanna and Emily. After last week‘s premiere, when the girls were forced to go to therapy, it‘s getting even harder.  "A" still holds all their dirty secrets and to keep them from getting out the girls must play along. ABC Family‘s smash hit returns tonight for its second episode of season two and we‘ve got a prize pack to give away to one lucky reader!  Read more »
This week‘s episode was all about separation anxiety: Aria from Ezra. Hanna from Mona. Emily from Rosewood. Spencer from ... Ian? But, most importantly, the liars from each other. Under doctor‘s orders, the girls are enduring a trial separation period. But, have no fear, their forbidden friendship just makes them work together even more, especially when several break-ins occur around town and they assume that A is involved. The girls are still reeling from last week‘s revelation that Ian might just be alive ... with cell service, because "zombies can‘t text." However, Ian isn‘t the only creepy older boy lurking around. Jason DiLaurentis is back in town, recycling Ali‘s memorial, scaring away dogs, building fences and acting generally shady. Plus, we still need to know what "the Jason Thing" hinted at in last week‘s episode is all about. Read more »
You‘re reading this on BuddyTV, which means you‘re probably familiar with all the things we do on this site: bring you the latest in the world of television, from which House star is appearing on The Good Wife to who got the shocking boot on last night‘s So You Think You Can Dance. Yeah, I think you‘re quite familiar with that. So, let‘s see how much you learned this week, shall we? Read more »
Other than the mystery surrounding A, one of the most exciting parts of Pretty Little Liars is the forbidden liaison between Aria (Lucy Hale) and her super hot, now former, English teacher, Ezra Fitz (Ian Harding). Last episode, Ezra and Aria were hotter than ever as they went public with their relationship.Today, Ian Harding spoke to the press about the current season, his relationships with Lucy Hale and the rest of the PLL cast and what he does behind the scenes.Related Interview: Catch up with Troian Bellisario>>  Read more »
The opening moments of this week‘s episode make it seem like the juiciest one of the entire series. The girls are alone (with the company of Hanna‘s popcorn bucket) in a mysteriously empty, old-timey movie theater. Suddenly, a hooded figure appears! Is it A? Is it Ian? The menacing villain appears and disappears as the girls attempt to escape. But they can‘t, until the episode takes a page out of The Wizard of Oz handbook ... and it‘s all just a dream. All of the murder attempts and break-ins are finally taking a toll on Spencer, and she can no longer sleep. Unfortunately, the dream sequence was probably the most exciting part of this week‘s episode. It wasn‘t a bad one, per se. It just didn‘t have as many jaw dropping moments as I‘ve grown accustomed to. Read more »
Many people consider Memorial Day to be the official start of summer. I declare a new national holiday to mark the start of the scorching season: June 14 is Pretty Little Liars Day. Season 2 premiered tonight, and boy is it a hot one. Last season ended on a high note (literally), as Ian‘s life hung in the balance. But when the cops arrived, there was no body to be found. This season picks up right where we left off, as Emily astutely notes, "Unless we‘re saying Ian‘s a zombie, somebody moved his body." Uh, Emily honey ... haven‘t you heard? The show‘s been renamed Pretty Little Zombies. Nevermind, I‘m just being silly. Let‘s leave the supernatural business to The Nine Lives of Chloe King. This looks like a good old-fashioned conspiracy. Do I smell a rat named A?Officer Garrett is acting uber creepy, which is totally unsurprising, considering his liaison with Jenna. Garrett hates asking the liars to lie, which is ironic. Duh, that‘s what they do best. Still, he wants them to cover up the fact that they were blackmailing Ian, and that Garrett was even involved in the first place. So now they‘ve got a new secret, can they keep it? Ah, I have missed these scintillating opening credits. Read more »

This week‘s episode of Pretty Little Liars picked up right where the last one left off-- in a sketchy pawn shop surrounded only by dumpsters, graffiti and the homeless. The girls‘ couture ensembles looked remarkably out of place, and it‘s a shame that they have to resort to meeting there to get some face time. Spencer goes to pick up Melissa‘s ring which she had pawned in the last episode, but as we know... A got her grubby gloved hands on it first. In return for her cash, Spencer gets a horseshoe. Aren‘t horseshoes supposed to be lucky? As they leave the pawn shop, they get a special text from A plus a huge billboard for eyeglasses that reads: someone‘s watching you so look your best. Oh, so that‘s why A has been so absent this season! She‘s been busy renting out eerily perfect billboards. It all makes sense now. Read more »
Ding Dong, Ian is dead, and the mystery of Ali‘s murder is finally solved. So everything should be back to normal in Rosewood right? ... Right? Wrong. Turns out Ian had been dead for at least a week, meaning that A has been impersonating him. Thanks to the 21st century, the girls got a snapshot of the "suicide letter." Everyone is reeling over seeing the dead body, and who can blame them? The good news is, their names are cleared and their trial separation has officially ended. Unfortunately, A is finally starting to stir some serious drama this week. Ian‘s death has brought up a million more questions than it answered, and now it‘s hard to know who is telling the truth and what really happened. Turns out that Ali‘s murder isn‘t as solved as we all thought it was ... not even a little bit. Read more »

The episode starts with one of the liars‘ weekly pow-wows about A, and speak of the devil, they receive a gift basket from their BFF. Don‘t say A never gave you anything, girls. Seems the one-lettered villain has been taking a break from her boot-ordering ways, and she didn‘t even manage to give them good candy. In true A style she leaves a note saying, "What fun. Two little liars under one roof. You‘re making it so easy. -A"The two liars she‘s referring to are, of course, Emily and Hanna. They became roomies when Em‘s parents moved to Texas, and it‘s just one big happy sleepover. Except not. Turns out Emily is into studying, and Hanna is more into studying fashion magazines and the inside of Caleb‘s mouth. But of course, Emily prefers the Marin household more than the cardboard box she would be living in ... or, god forbid, the state of Texas, so beggars can‘t be choosers. Read more »
Being a twenty-something watching the Teen Choice Awards is like intruding in your little sister‘s party. You‘re lucky to be let in, but you don‘t understand most of what‘s going on.Like, why did Robert Pattinson still win the Choice Vampire award? I thought Twilight was so five minutes ago? (For now, at least, since the first Breaking Dawn movie has yet to come out, and I haven‘t seen frantic Twilight fans go out on the streets in ages.) And the fact that teenagers picked him rather than, say, True Blood‘s Alexander Skarsgard or The Vampire Diaries‘ Ian Somerhalder...Then again, it wasn‘t a bad night for TVD, as the show scooped five awards, including a sweep of the Fantasy/Sci-Fi TV category. It‘s pretty much a repeat of last year‘s Teen Choice Awards, really, except for the fact that Paul Wesley did not win; Ian did. Read more »
Somehow, ratings shoot up when guys expose their barreled chests on screen. That‘s not the reason behind today‘s quiz choice though (although if that helps, why not). It‘s simply because the timing is right for the White Collar and Covert Affairs finales. And well, we know how big of a role six-packs play in those shows.  Read more »

In this week‘s episode four gorgeous gals strut their stuff in designer duds that are simply to die for (pun intended), a phenomenon which occurs essentially every week on PLL. But this time, it‘s in an organized fashion, as the girls promise the grieving Mrs. DeLaurentis that they‘ll be a part of the annual fashion show that their deceased pal loved so much...but more on that later. After last week‘s chill-inducing revelations, the show took a nice step back this week and focused mostly on the liars themselves. In fact, for most of the episode I almost forgot about all of that A business and the girls seemed to do that as well. Read more »
The unspoken motto of the PLL gang is: trust no one. With A on the loose, and Ali‘s murder still unsolved, they can‘t afford to trust anyone but themselves. So, in that spirit, here‘s a list of what not to trust from tonight‘s episode:Don‘t trust the cop in cahoots (and apparently in bed) with the blind girl: The girls learned last week that officer Garrett has been dealing with Jenna, unless he bought her pottery from the "blind artists crafts fair." Jenna and Garrett are definitely hooking up, and still murmuring about "the Jason thing." Read more »
Ah, love. L-o-v-e, love.  Pretty Little Liars usually puts mystery first and romance second, so it was interesting to see the order reversed this week. Every couple, except for Spoby, ran into some trouble this week, and surprisingly it wasn‘t only A‘s fault. Aria loves Ezra? Or Jason? Love triangles are always fun, but they‘re even more exciting when they‘re between ex-english teachers and suspected murderers. The writers teased us this week with some hot and heavy Ezria make out sessions ... only to reveal that they were not only Aria‘s dreams, but that Ezra suddenly turns into Jason. Scandalous! Aria is torn between two lovers, but she tries to make it work with Mr. Fitz. Jason complicates this by kissing her (eek!) but it‘s even more complicated than that: Spencer and Emily found Jason‘s dark room...filled with surveillance equipment and creepy pictures of Aria. They quickly run away, but accidentally leave a lit flashlight behind. Uh-oh. Read more »

On Pretty Little Liars, nothing is sacred. A has complete access to sealed cereal containers, closed massage sessions and therapy offices (not to mention hospital rooms and morgues, of course) But, worst of all, A might just be a whole group of psychopaths. And it‘s not just A who is completely insane. This week introduced and reintroduced a whole bevy of clinically crazy characters, ranging from Hanna‘s stepsister-to-be to the N.A.T. club consisting of Jason, Ian and Officer Garrett and their voyeuristic tendencies. No one is safe this week. Emily is number one on A‘s list, Hanna has some serious family drama, Spencer‘s uncovering more and more about Ali‘s murder and Aria seems to be in trouble with Jason. In true Pretty Little Liars style, everyone seems to be ... well, lying.  Read more »

With only one episode left until the Pretty Little Liars mid-season finale, we knew this week‘s episode had to be juicy. The girls decided it was time to do something they have never done before: tell someone about A.  Read more »
Remember when the most intense thing on Pretty Little Liars was that whole "pushing Ian from the bell tower" thing? Compared to tonight‘s episode, consider that an episode of Barney & Friends. Is there anything scarier than "A"? Maybe not in the world of Pretty Little Liars, which kicks off a 13 Nights of Halloween event on Wednesday, October 19. As if Pretty Little Liars weren‘t frightening enough, throw in some Halloween and the result is almost more terrifying than a horror movie. This Halloween event takes place in a day completely foreign to us PLL viewers; a time when Ali was still alive, Jenna could still see, Hanna was still hefty, Aria was still rockin‘ the pink streaks in her hair and Emily was still very much in the closet. The episode gave us a little glance into the circumstances leading up to Ali‘s death, and I hate to speak ill of the dead, but the girl was a rhyme-with-witch...way too many people had motives to kill her. There‘s at least one person vigilantly stalking Alison through a particularly creep-tastic mask, could it be A? Or could it just be one of the many people who revisited Rosewood this week? Read more »

Pretty Little Liars returns for its winter season promising that the identity of the ominous A will be revealed. However, before any of that can happen, the girls‘ shadowy enemy has more games for them to play.Emily Gets Good News and Some Bad NewsEmily finds out that she is medically cleared to return to swimming, but her coach informs her that she will not be allowed on the team. The coach was dodgy about particulars as to why, but Emily doesn‘t have long to fret about it because A sends her a text asking if she‘d be interested in making a deal. Emily circles a "yes" on the classroom chalkboard, as she presumably works under the assumption that A is within view of her. Read more »

All the while, Garrett shows up in the middle of a phone call arguing with Jenna about what happened the night before, the same night A lost his or her phone. Tonight‘s Pretty Little Liars starts in the aftermath of Lucas‘ dramatic turn. Hanna defended herself from his murderous intent out on the lake, but in so doing she may have killed him by knocking him overboard. We know that Lucas was merely a peon in A‘s bigger plan, but it will be interesting to see how the show‘s villain will react to this latest development. Read more »
Today the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation and the NAACP both announced their annual awards nominations. Last week‘s episode of Pretty Little Liars culminated with a shot of A‘s customarily gloved hand tightening or loosening a bolt, with little to go on as to why. This week, we learn that it was an act of some impressive foresight by the villain in their attempt to inflict harm on the girls‘ loved ones. Plus, as per usual, there will be a solid 10 minutes of Aria and Ezra angst to help pad out that 40 minute runtime. Read more »
