Oh, the Bravermans, how I have missed you! After a long hiatus, Parenthood returned tonight with its season 4 premiere, "Family Portrait." While the Bravermans are far from perfect, they are a loving family and deal with real-life situations without being preachy which makes the show a delight to watch. I love laughing and crying with them.

At the end of Parenthoods third season, while Julia and Joel were dealing with the disappointment of Zoes decision to keep her son, they got an unexpected miracle dropped at their doorstep in the package of a 9 year old Victor. An adoption is never easy, but it is even more difficult to incorporate an older child into an existing family as both Julia and Joel have found out.

NBC is finally making decisions for next season, and its first move was renewing five of its current dramas for the 2013-2014 TV season. Law and Order: SVU, Grimm, Parenthood and freshman dramas Revolution and Chicago Fire were all picked up. They will all get a full 22-episode season next year.
