The nominations have been announced for the 2014 People‘s Choice Awards.Glee leads the pack with eight nominations, including Favorite Network TV Comedy and nods for Chris Colfer, Darren Criss, Jane Lynch and Lea Michele. Both The Big Bang Theory and Grey‘s Anatomy come in second with five nominations each, and How I Met Your Mother, Supernatural, Castle, The Walking Dead and Vampire Diaries all have four. Read more »

One day after the SAG Award nominations, the Golden Globe nominations were revealed Thursday morning for the 71st annual ceremony. It‘s the 20th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards aka my favorite awards show of the season. It is a more glamorous affair than the Golden Globes, but less stuffy than the Emmys. The SAG Awards strikes the right tone of fun and reputable and delivers what everyone at home wants to see: the actors we know and love getting recognized for the good work we have enjoyed. Certainly the writers and directors and all the other hardworking folks in Hollywood deserve awards, but let‘s get real; we like to see the pretty, talented people get awarded for being pretty and talented. Read more »

Following on the heels of The CW and NBC, ABC has now announced spring 2014 finale dates for its lineup of shows.Four shows will be airing their finales in April: Once Upon a Time in Wonderland, The Neighbors, Scandal and Last Man Standing. Scandal is ending its season earlier than usual due to star Kerry Washington‘s pregnancy. And the first three are ending even before May sweeps kicks off (which is April 24 to May 21). Read more »
