They‘re all making a comeback on Jan. 23, as ABC Family plays host to the world premiere event of Mean Girls 2. While the original cast from 2004 isn‘t on board, the sequel to Mean Girls will be featuring faces we‘ve come to know on the small screen recently. Leading the group is Meaghan Martin, known for her roles in ABC Family‘s 10 Things I Hate About You and Disney‘s two Camp Rock movies. Make It or Break It is easily the best show on ABC Family, but you probably don‘t know it. While the network spends a lot of attention promoting cheesey teen programming like Pretty Little Liars or The Secret Life of the American Teenage, MIOBI is a genuinely heartwarming and uplifting drama that gives teenage girls actual role models.  Read more »
Today the nominations for the 2011 Teen Choice Awards were announced, and as usual, it‘s a collection of obvious choices. Guess what? Teens still love Twilight, and they also really like Justin Bieber, Glee and Justin Timberlakie (who, at 30 years old, will probably be given a Lifetime Achievement Award next year). Read more »

On the heels of ABC Family announcing that it has canceled freshman drama The Nine Lives of Chloe King, the network offered some good news today by renewing two shows and announcing plans for four new pilots. The Lying Game was extended to a full 22-episode first season while the gymnastics drama Make It or Break It was renewed for a third season. The network has also canceled freshman sitcom State of Georgia starring Raven-Symone.  Read more »
