The much buzzed about Last Resort finally hit your television screen tonight. "Captain" has been available online for a few weeks, but this epic show really shines on a bigger screen with its amazing cast.Captain Marcus Chaplin (Andre Braugher) and his XO Sam Kendal (Scott Speedman) lead the crew of the USS Colorado when they receive orders to launch a missile attack against Pakistan through a secondary communication source. This event sets into motion a unique and quite scary situation which is Last Resort. Read more »
What a mess Captain Chaplin has gotten himself and his crew in on Last Resort. On "Blue on Blue," they found themselves being hit on all sides. The USS Illinois was approaching, as well as, 20 warships from the United States, plus the Russians decided to get in the fight. Read more »
Last Resort kicked up the danger to the crew substantially in "Eight Bells." The list of threats moved beyond just the US government and outside forces after the nuclear submarine. They now have to worry about opposition right there on the island from Mayor Julian Serrat and from their own disgruntled sailors. Read more »
The revolt against Captain Chaplin and XO Kendal came to a head on Last Resort‘s "Voluntold." I had never heard of the term voluntold before, but it is a slang word that means the opposite of volunteer; to be forcibly volunteered. The perfect title for this episode. Read more »

The best new thriller on television this fall is Last Resort. The military and political intrigue is enough to hold your interest, but throw in the amazing relationships and it is unlike anything else on right now. Last Resort changed things up a bit with "Another Fine Navy Day," by using Memento-like story telling. In the middle of the episode, it got a bit confusing, but it ended up working brilliantly and I loved it. It was particularly nice to see Sam and Christine together, even if their interactions were just hallucinations. Read more »

On Last Resort, Daniel Lissing plays a Navy SEAL that was picked up by the USS Colorado after a mission went bad in Pakistan. Initially, the SEALs are upset that Captain Chaplin didn‘t follow through with the launch. After a surprisingly strong fall season that has seen most new shows succeed and get full season orders, three shows have been canceled.CBS has ended its freshman comedy Partners after just six episodes. And ABC has canceled two of its new dramas, 666 Park Avenue and Last Resort.  Read more »
Even though Last Resort didn‘t receive a full-season episode order, that‘s no reason to stop watching this intense thriller. The producers had enough time to give the show a proper ending on their terms. If you are a fan of Last Resort, you will want to watch the final three episodes to see the epic conclusion of this nuclear stand-off.On the last episode, "Blue Water," before the winter hiatus, Chin Han (The Dark Knight, Contagion) joined the show as the Chinese representative, Zheng Li.
