Articles for Desperate Housewives Season 6

Of course, foremost on tonight‘s Desperate Housewives season 6 premiere is the identity of Mike‘s (James Denton) bride-to-be - all things and evidence point to Susan (Teri Hatcher), but you just never know on this show. Meanwhile, a new family the Bolen‘s move into the former Young house on Wisteria Lane - the mom is Angie, played by Drea de Matteo. Lynette (Felicity Huffman) and Tom (Doug Savant) explore the options of her pregnancy. As we all know, she‘s not only pregnant, she‘s pregnant with twins. She‘s not exactly happy, but at least it‘s better than cancer. Or is it?Elsewhere on "Nice is Different Than Good" Bree feels guilty after she has sex with Karl (Richard Burgi), while Ana (Maiara Walsh) - that‘s Carlos‘ (Ricardo Antonio Chavira) niece who moved in toward the end of last season - goes to a night club and Gaby (Eva Longoria Parker) is really having a hard time to keep her in line. Lastly, Susan is surprised when her daughter Julie (Andrea Bowen) comes home. News flash, Bowen is staying for good, for the rest of the season at least. Read more »
Right from the start of this Desperate Housewives premiere, I was wondering why no one was feeling sorry for Katherine! And as a corollary, why everyone felt happy and nice for Susan conveniently forgetting that Katherine was distraught (I felt the same way when Meredith and Derek got back together and no one remembered that he was dating someone - Nurse Rose - on Grey‘s). In the final hug, though, my question was answered: it‘s because she‘s a bitch. But there was probably nothing more surprising than the revelation about the new Wisteria Lane family. And it doesn‘t take a genius to figure out that the son was probably behind what happened in the final scene. Read more »
I didn‘t know this. According to Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cheery, he originally intended to have Katherine (Dana Delaney) marry Mike (James Denton) in the season 6 opener. However, going around, he changed his mind and instead decided to have Susan (Teri Hatcher) tie the knot lest he incur the fury of fans."I originally was going to have Mike marry Katherine, but as I went out into the world on vacation and just started talking to people they were so determined that Mike and Susan should get together; they were so insistent on it. So I started to think, ‘What if I went that way?‘ And it occurred to me that it might be a more effective way to go as opposed to frustrating the fans for another year by keeping Mike and Susan apart. The fans demanded it in a voice so loud I was kind of scared to go against them." Read more »
On tonight‘s episode of Desperate Housewives, we follow up on what happens after Julie, who was back home for her mom‘s wedding, was viciously attacked in the dying seconds of last week‘s kick-off. The citizens of Fairview try to make sense of the recent attack, and it sheds light to the new family the Bolens when the neighbors start pointing their fingers at them. Another unexpected pregnancy, meanwhile, jeopardizes Julie‘s condition. Angie Bolen, though, is determined to protect her son and her family‘s past. Remember that scar?Elsewhere on "Being Alive" Lynette withholds a secret from Susan (maybe the pregnancy, don‘t they know already?), Gaby gives niece Ana advice on how to get a guy‘s attention, while Bree is understandably worried that her now full-blown affair with Karl will affect her friendship with Susan. Finally, Roy and Karen move their relationship forward - and we all know what the next big step is. Yes, that‘s exactly it, whatever you‘re thinking. Read more »
After the tornado of season 4 (and the fire at Rick‘s restaurant, and the hostage situation of season 2), the Desperate Housewives people will have to deal with another catastrophe this season as the cliffhanger for the first half of the season, Entertainment Weekly reports. If you don‘t want anything spoiled on Desperate Housewives, the spoiler is after the jump. Read more »
There was much hullabaloo with the rumors that Whitney Houston, he Whitney Houston, is set to visit Wisteria Lane with a recurring role on Desperate Housewives. It was reported that the come-backing diva was in negotiations with ABC people for a recurring role.Reps for Desperate Housewives had denied these rumors and said no such thing is happening. Houston, who recently made a splash with her Oprah interview and new album, is of course no stranger to acting. Other than The Bodyguard, Waiting to Exhale, and The Preacher‘s Wife, she had made a cameo appearance as herself on Boston Public in 2003. Read more »
Judging from the title alone, this Desperate Housewives episode can very well be Bree-centric. Then again, it can also be about Susan, or Gaby, or Katherine, or Lynette, or Angie. Fine, it can refer to anybody. On "Never Judge a Lady by Her Lover" Angie goes to great lengths to protect her son from the lingering suspicion that he‘s responsible for the attack on Julie.Meanwhile, Bree is furious with Karl when she catches him at a restaurant with another woman. Yes, talk about tables being turned. We also get a surprise when someone from Gaby‘s past returns - John Rowland, her gardener with whom she had an affair. There‘s something different today, though. Yes, Ana, who exacerbates the problem when she offers to seduce him. Read more »
On last night‘s episode of Desperate Housewives, it‘s disconcerting how suspicion and obsessive maternal love can rile up a supposedly sane person. Susan was so convinced that it was Danny who was responsible for Julie‘s attack that it got to a point that Angie had to seek the aid of a baseball bat just to retaliate. Yes, it‘s become that bad. On one hand, we can understand she‘s very protective of her daughter, which is well and good, but on the other hand, you got to give the family the benefit of the doubt here.Elsewhere on Desperate Housewives, it was very interesting how the resurfacing of John in Gaby‘s life can have such a big effect on her. The kind of happy couple were at a restaurant when John, now divorced and owner of the restaurant, showed up. To complicate matters further, he hired Ana as a hostess. Of course, Gaby assured Carlos that it was al in the past, although the sight of her looking wistfully at a photo booth strip of pictures told us another thing. Read more »
What a title right? On tonight‘s episode of Desperate Housewives, John is back, and Gaby is growing weary of his intentions toward niece Ana. Elsewhere, Lynette learns that Tom god a bad grade in college, so she leaves Penny with Tom at school. She also wants her family to help around the house. Meanwhile, Susan learns Julie‘s been hiding things from her, while Angie throws Danny a party. Finally, Bree and Katherine cater a wedding, but something untoward happens when Katherine becomes emotional over a cake, so expect a very funny scene between these two. Read more »
Some critics (and fans, though a slightly more subdued bunch) think that the Bolens storyline isn‘t working as well as Desperate Housewives probably hoped. Sure, they‘ve got the creepy new neighbors thing working - but that‘s easy enough, being new and all - but other than that, there wasn‘t really a lot of interaction between the old housewives and Angie (Drea de Matteo), for instance (except Susan, of course). So what‘s not working? The secret bit is there, and it‘s a juicy one, as we saw on last night‘s episode of Desperate Housewives. Turns out Julie has brought with her pretty nasty secrets in her return to Wisteria Lane (now I‘m not sure if I missed anything, but how did it happen that Julie, who returned for her mom‘s wedding, and the Bolens arrived in Wisteria Lane at practically the same time? Or was that the whole point?). Unbeknownst to her mommy, Julie quit med school six months ago, worked as a waitress, and got involved with a married man whose name started with a D. Read more »
OK, we previously reported that a plane‘s going to crash on Wisteria Lane sometime year just in time for the second half of the season (it‘ll be the cliffhanger). We also reported Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry revealed that the neighborhood plane crash will "affect everyone‘s lives" no one will die.Or so we think. Read more »
The Daily Mail is claiming to have gotten hold of the first photos of the aftermath of the plane crash that is set to take on Wisteria Lane this season on Desperate Housewives. Some viewers of the show are more skeptical, citing an eerie (and spot on) resemblance to the War of the Worlds set at Universal Studios, where Desperate Housewives is also filmed. You be the judge. To backtrack a little, Desperate Housewives creator said the plane crash is going to be the cliffhanger for the first half of the season and it will affect every character on the show, including killing a couple of others, one of them a fan favorite. This is a reversal of his initial plan to not kill anyone on Wisteria Lane. Read more »
If you like clowns and/or monkeys attacking clowns, then you should tune in tonight on Desperate Housewives. While neither clowns nor monkeys don‘t seem like normal fare for the ABC dramedy, it‘s all over the previews, but that shouldn‘t be mistaken as a key plot. Instead, we‘ll see how things can go back for Carlos when Gaby makes an enemy with his client‘s wife (this is such a Gaby thing to do, isn‘t it?). But how can she not, if she tells Gaby that she‘s a lousy mother - and that she does so to her face. Read more »
Sure, the "just turning on the light" closer by the maid at the motorlodge was not exactly brilliant writing, but at least it added a little dimension to this affair storyline that‘s been going on without not much development happening. On last night‘s Desperate Housewives, a maid of all people had to give Bree (Marcia Cross) the blinding flash of the obvious in the context of her affair with Karl - sure, Orson is by and large an awful person and husband, but just the same, what she‘s doing is not exactly setting the record straight. Sure, it‘s an old cliché, two wrong‘s don‘t make a right, but a couple of things make it effective: the anecdote from the maid, plus the fact that Bree kind of typifies that suburban-housewife-being-all-about-appearances thing. Read more »
Ever think Desperate Housewives has jumped the shark? No? You do know that a plane is set to crash on Wisteria Lane in the near future right? That being said, Variety reports that Desperate Housewives creator and exec producer Marc Cherry has inked a new deal with ABC Studios to extend his duties on the series for two more years. This means Desperate Housewives, which is currently on its sixth season, can remain on air through 2013 by which time it would be on its ninth season. Read more »
On tonight‘s episode of Desperate Housewives, there‘s cheating, lying, infidelity, and a kid getting kicked off a Thanksgiving pageant for swearing. So yes, it‘s just like any episode on Desperate Housewives. On the episode, Lynette (Felicity Huffman) discovers that her husband Tom may be growing backwards, as he has been cheating on his tests and wanting to lead the life of a frat-boy. Meanwhile, the Bolens saga continues, and the latest revelation is Angie (Drea de Mateo) trying to hide the truth about her mother, raising suspicion yet again. Elsewhere on "Don‘t Walk on the Grass" Gaby (Eva Longoria-Parker) is upset when Juanita is kicked out of the Thanksgiving pageant for swearing. Only, she makes matters worse because she getting involved leads to expulsion. Finally, Orson (Kyle MacLachlan) is inadvertently pushing Bree (Marcia Cross) further to Karl‘s arms. Read more »
"Careful the Things You Say" seems to be an appropriate title for tonight‘s Desperate Housewives episode as our favorite Wisteria Lane residents demonstrate how the slightest slip of the tongue can brew enormous trouble.  And compared to last week‘s episode, in which Bree deceived her husband, Katherine planned on seducing Mike, and Angie basically lied about everything, ABC claims that this is one big episode you wouldn‘t want to miss. Read more »
On Desperate Housewives last night, there were: a cleaning woman with a PhD in engineering, a woman detective who finally got her revenge after decades, and a woman who is slowly growing on me.The last one is Angie Boleyn (Drea de Matteo), who was able to teach Bree (Marcia Cross) a lesson or two about tact and how Desperate Housewives like her have a tendency to overdo the whole appearance thing. The two had a very nice discussion about "keeping it in" and "letting it out" in reference to personal problems. Read more »
This morning the People‘s Choice Award nominations were revealed, andas always, it‘s populism at its best.  On the TV side, the nomineesoften look like the top of the Nielsen ratings list, with a few notableand surprising exceptions.  Shows like True Blood and Gossip Girl crept into the Favorite TV Actress categories while Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Show features Lost, True Blood, The Vampire Diaries and Supernatural. However, those are the very cool exceptions.  For the most part, the list is full of CSI, NCIS, Grey‘s Anatomy, Two and a Half Men and other top-rated shows.  Here are the major television nominees for this year‘s People‘s Choice Awards. Tonight on Desperate Housewives, it‘s the episode for those who think Susan (Teri Hatcher) is getting annoying! Following her not so pleasant blast from the past last week, she‘s sentenced to community service as a punishment for shooting Katherine (Dana Delaney). She had the misfortune of handing over Julie‘s case to a female detective, who turned out to be someone who still holds some grudge from high school. She locked Susan in last week for not reporting the "accident" of shooting Katherine.Elsewhere on "The Coffee Cup" her luck finally catches up with her, as someone finally discovers Bree‘s (Marcia Cross) affair. And to make matters worse, it‘s none other than Angie (Drea de Matteo), whom she hired last week because she wanted to get her hands on some precious Italian recipes. The two had a little nice dialogue about keeping it and such, mostly having to do with tact. Read more »
Not a few Desperate Housewives fans scoffed at the idea - what? A plane crashing in the middle of American suburbia? - but it really is pushing through, and the damage to life and property will reportedly be huge. In fact, some sources are squealing that the plane will land directly in one of the main housewives‘ houses!A little pause to let this image sink in: Bree (Marcia Cross), Gaby (Eva Longoria-Parker), Lynette (Felicity Huffman), or Susan (Teri Hatcher) sipping their morning coffee until the nose of an airplane juts from the ceiling and debris falls all over.Spoiler ahead. Read more »
Everyone‘s still pretty mum on who will die on the much-debated plane crash on Desperate Housewives, but Dana Delaney, who plays semi-cuckoo Katherine on the ABC comedy, has pretty much ruled out one possibility. That‘s a start, wouldn‘t you say?Delaney reveals to Fox News that the Desperate Housewives cast is already filming the highly anticipated cliffhanger, and at least one character would be safe. Read more »
Let‘s check the status of the Desperate Housewives after this week‘s episode. Gaby tried to bribe a priest, Lynette finally revealed her pregnancy to Carlos, Angie and Bree reached a new level of understanding, Susan turned into a sex-starved fiend, and another girl was strangled on Wisteria Lane. So that means things are normal. Read more »
There won‘t be a new episode of Desperate Housewives this Sunday, but hopefully, that means something good is up two weeks from now. Everything, of course, is just a buildup to the big plane crash in December that will reportedly claim the lives of at least two characters, including a fan favorite.Anyway, On The Flix is reporting that someone is reacting quite drastically to the second attack on Wisteria Lane. If you missed this week‘s episode, the coffee shop waitress Emily was strangled and left for dead at the end of the episode.Spoiler alert. Read more »
Tonight on Desperate Housewives, we‘re inching closer and closer to the plane crash episode (that happens next week), but before that, we need to see more evidence that Katherine is going crazy and perhaps dangerous. On "Would I Think of Suicide" Mike (James Denton) goes to pick up little MJ from a birthday party, only to find out that Katherine (Dana Delany) has already picked him up with permission. But of course the title is that way because somebody on Wisteria Lane tries to commit suicide. Read more »
With Juanita and Celia and Carlos‘ (Ricardo Antonio Chavira) hectic job, Gaby (Eva Longoria-Parker) might not be getting a lot of quality time with her husband (if you know what I mean) on Desperate Housewives. Little did we know that playing Gaby on the ABC series is weighing heavily on her real-life sex life as well."I work three to four days per week. And then I fly to Texas to spend a long weekend with Tony. So we only have sex during the weekend," she tells Femalefirst.co.uk. Her husband Tony Parker plays for the San Antonio Spurs. Read more »
E! Online is reporting that there won‘t be just two deaths on the much-hyped Desperate Housewives plane crash, but five. Yes, five. A plane is set to crash on the manicured lawn and picket fences of Wisteria Lane‘s Hodge-Cross residence in the ABC dramedy‘s December mid-season cliffhanger on the 6th, and not just two people will die, as previously reported, but five. We also got wind of why the little aircraft will crash - two passengers getting into an argument. Is Orson (Kyle MacLachlan) one of these five? One of the clues Desperate Housewives insiders have been dispersing is that one of the casualties is a fan favorite, and the intarwebs have been abuzz with Orson as the most likely candidate.Potential spoiler after the cut. Read more »
If, after all those interaction with Bree (Marcia Cross), you still don‘t like Drea de Matteo‘s Angie Bolen on Desperate Housewives, then you won‘t like this development. Contrary to The National Enquirer report that this season‘s new housewife is being dismissed off the show for budgetary reasons, Entertainment Weekly reports that Mrs. Bolen is staying put.On the last few episodes of Desperate Housewives, Angie bonded with Bree thanks to her Italian heritage and secret recipes. On "The Coffee Cup" she discovered Bree‘s affair with Karl and actually helped her cover it up. Later on, however, she said that she was doing it for Orson, not for her. Read more »
Five years into the future not enough for you? How does 40 years sound?TV Guide reports that Desperate Housewives is set to do another flash-forward this season, as it takes a look at 10, 20, and even as many as 40 years into the future in early January just to take a peek at how the housewives‘ lives will look had their lives gone in different directions. Read more »
So he tried to kill himself by OD‘ing and then waking up to reveal that his name is really Tyler, but even the actor who plays strange, brooding Danny Bolen on Desperate Housewives says that he doesn‘t see himself returning on the show‘s season 7."You know, I am just happy to be part of the show right now," Beau Mirchoff tells the New York Post. "I don‘t expect to be back next year. I kinda hope to go out with a bang! Like get gunned down by the police, go down in a hail of bullets!" Read more »
Warning: very small plane.A very displeased "That‘s it?" seems to be the prevalent reaction to the much-ballyhooed plane crash on this Sunday‘s Desperate Housewives. After all, different numbers, from one to as much as four, have been given as to the total fatalities after the midseason finale. Check out the first look at the plane crash here. Read more »
This is it, folks. The big plane crash episode (with the surprisingly teeny-weeny airplane) on Desperate Housewives. Reports have been varied as to the total number of casualties and their identities, but at least we get an assurance that people will die, including one who‘s a so-called fan favorite.Adding a tinge of gloom to the whole thing is the fact it‘s Desperate Housewives‘ Christmas episode - with Wisteria Lane‘s very own choral group led by Bree (Marcia Cross). Adding to the confusion is the ongoing squabble between Gaby (Eva Longoria-Parker) and Lynette (Felicity Huffman). Their friendship is on the brink of collapse, so will a plane crash manage to repair things? Read more »
So says Susan (Teri Hatcher) when an ambulance pulled up to pick up Katherine (Dana Delaney) who stabbed herself at the start of the episode to show us how crazy she had turned. But crazy Katherine is but a small part of Desperate Housewives‘ holiday break closer, although it doesn‘t make it less heartbreaking, especially with Dylan being there and all. That being said, the deaths on the much-ballyhooed Desperate Housewives plane crash seem to be a cop-out. The scene itself, I think, was played masterfully, but what happened didn‘t meet expectations. If you haven‘t seen the episode, don‘t click. Read more »
What way is this to cope? E! Online reports that after the big crash of a not-so-big plane on Wisteria Lane, Susan (Teri Hatcher) is set to do a striptease on an upcoming episode of Desperate Housewives. But before you roll your eyes and cry ratings stunt, there‘s a little value-added tidbit: Lost recruit and Mrs. Richard Schiff Sheila Kelley would play the shrink. Apparently, she also has a striptease workout program under her belt. Amazing resume wouldn‘t you say? Read more »
So Tom Scavo (Doug Savant) will survive the plane crash and live another day. Either that or Desperate Housewives will need to do a Ghost Whisperer and talk to the dead to pull his upcoming storyline.Entertainment Weekly reports that Tom will finally be getting professional help for the mid-life crisis that pushed him back to college, where he subsequently cheated and had to stop. Read more »
"It‘s not me," Dana Delaney tells E! Online first.Never mind that her character Katherine Mayfair was nowhere near the Santa house where the tiny plane crashed during Desperate Housewives‘ midseason finale last week. According to previous spoilers, three people, born or otherwise, including an , would be killed off but the episode ended with a bloodied hand dangling on a window, but alas no outright declaration of the fatalities‘ identities. Read more »
This Desperate Housewives plane crash storyline is starting to seem like a protracted jigsaw puzzle. Some pieces come in here and there but nothing too conclusive to reveal the big picture. E! Online reports that one of the three to five casualties will be "a husband" who will find himself "paralyzed" and eventually become "quite the household tyrant from his wheelchair."Never mind that the photo that accompanied this Desperate Housewives spoiler on the original site is that of Bree (Marcia Cross) and Orson (Kyle MacLachlan), we‘re almost sure that it‘s going to be him that will be wheel-chair bound when the smoke settles on this one. He previously revealed that his character will return on January. So does this mean Karl (Richard Burgi) is one of the plane crash deaths? Read more »
Possibly, that is.Remember the jigsaw puzzle bit that is the Desperate Housewives plane crash death? Here‘s another piece - TV Guide reports that, contrary to one spoiler, not one but two husbands will be wheelchair-bound thanks to this stupid plane crash. Yes, two housewives will be taking care of the men in their lives, with the help of qualified medical professionals. Read more »
Still an offshoot of the Desperate Housewives plane crash, another anticipated sequence in the upcoming January 3 return of the ABC series is the flash-forward. It was previously reported that the housewives will get a brief glimpse of their futures, from as soon as 10 years to as far ahead as 30 years, still as possible repercussions from the disastrous plane crash.Minor spoilers ahead: Read more »
ABC has released four promos for the upcoming January 3 return of Desperate Housewives, and from the looks of it, Lynette (Felicity Huffman) has pretty solid stuff coming up. On the episode called "If..." she thinks about a future with her unborn twins, obviously a consequence of her heroic ways on the plane crash episode that marked the close of the year on Wisteria Lane. The flash-forwards include, among others, Lynette dealing with a hypothetical son, perhaps one of the unborn twins who survives (according to previous spoilers, only one of the two will make it). Read more »

Julie Benz‘ character Rita may have died one of the most gruesome deaths in recent television memory, but count on a Dexter character to jump out of a rut and into something possibly even more gruesome - Wisteria Lane. Do I hear yikes?Benz, 37, who abruptly departed the Showtime series on its fourth season closer, was cast in a recurring role on Desperate Housewives. She‘ll play Debbie, a stripper with a heart of gold and a Masters degree in education, whom Susan (Teri Hatcher) offers a chance to transition into a more legitimate and maybe less sparsely dressed career. On tonight‘s episode of Desperate Housewives, there will be: (1) Susan (Teri Hatcher) pole-dancing and stripping, (2) Orson (Kyle MacLachlan) choosing "a flatulent helper monkey" over Bree (Marcia Cross), and (3) a little Mexican girl by the name of Juanita who doesn‘t know she‘s Mexican.Elsewhere on "You Gotta Get a Gimmick" Tom (Doug Savant) makes a mistake with a client at Lynette‘s (Felicity Huffman) company, and she points it out. Susan inherits a strip club, only to learn that Mike‘s (James Denton) been a regular. Since this commences the stripper storyline, we might also meet Dexter‘s dearly departed Rita - Julie Benz. As for Carlos (Ricardo Antonio Chavira) and Gaby (Eva Longoria-Parker), they finally espy a nice school for Juanita, but now they‘re not so sure if they want to go that path. Read more »
Desperate Housewives fans seem to be divided over the whole Susan (Teri Hatcher) doing striptease bit on the latest episode of the ABC series. That being said, 45-year-old Hatcher revealed on The David Letterman Show that not only did she have to strip in front of strangers on her 45th birthday, she also broke a rib.We saw the promos and it doesn‘t look that vigorous, so we have little idea what may have caused the injury. Read more »
On tonight‘s episode of Desperate Housewives, Katherine (Dana Delaney) is back and actually goes home. She meets with her psychiatrist and while her medications are doing their thing, she doesn‘t quite like the person that she‘s become. Meanwhile, Gaby (Eva Longoria-Parker) and Susan (Teri Hatcher) bond on a different level, when their kids Juanita and MJ find themselves in the slow math group at school - or not exactly, because they have no idea what the groupings are.Elsewhere on "How About a Friendly Shrink" Orson‘s (Kyle MacLachlan) physical therapist isn‘t very pleased that he is unable to get support from Bree (Marcia Cross). But let‘s face it, wheelchair-bound Orson can be an enormous prick / no fun at all. So they deserve each other, kind of. Finally, Tom‘s psychotherapist has a confrontation with Lynette (Felicity Huffman). Apparently, he‘s taking things way too seriously. Read more »
On tonight‘s episode of Desperate Housewives, there are: feelings journals, strawberry waffles on unreachable shelves, and leopards, chipmunks, and giraffes. Other than perhaps Katherine‘s (Dana Delaney) loony bin storyline, Desperate Housewives‘ "How About a Friendly Shrink?" didn‘t really push things forward, plot-wise, but it‘s still good for a few laughs, and a few heart-wrenching scenes and dialogues, which as we all know is the minimum requirement."Hmm. Attacking."Taking inspiration from the purportedly happy couple Bob (Tuc Watkins) and Lee (Kevin Rahm), Tom (Doug Savant) decided to see a shrink to deal with his problems with Lynette post-all the drama. He has started to carry around a little feelings journal and, from time to time, his eyes would glint and he would scribble something and mutter, "attacking." Lynette was furious. Read more »
Can you foresee Desperate Housewives going on for four more seasons after this current one, the show‘s sixth? If it were up to star Felicity Huffman, she hopes Desperate Housewives never ends."Every hit program has a life span - I don‘t know what this one will be. Friends went for 10 years, Frasier lasted for 11, but some shows go for three. I would like it if it goes on for 10 years because it‘s a dream job." Read more »
That bit with Angie (Drea de Matteo) working with Bree (Marcia Cross) on some catering commitment didn‘t work out so lovingly on Desperate Housewives. It wasn‘t exactly a match made in heaven, and it got kind of uncomfortable with Bree being decorous and Angie being tactless and such. But lo and behold, someone will set foot on Wisteria Lane, who this time will be an admirer of Bree‘s "old-fashioned values."Mad Men star Sam Page, who plays the wayward hubby of Joan (Christina Hendricks) on the critically acclaimed AMC series, is joining the cast of Desperate Housewives for a multi-episode arc set to kick off in late February. Page, 33, who will also be on Greek right around that time, will play Jeremy, a well-trained cook who idolizes Bree. Read more »
After months of talks, Desperate Housewives creator and Torchwood fan Marc Cherry has finally confirmed that Torchwood star John Barrowman is indeed headed to Wisteria Lane. And in no small capacity too, as Captain Jack is set to play the Big Bad in the ongoing Angie Bolen (Drea de Matteo) storyline.Entertainment Weekly reports that Barrowman, whose DH character name is Patrick Logan, is set to stay for a minimum of five episodes later this season, kicking off in April up until the finale. Read more »
Some fans vowed to tune out of Desperate Housewives after Karl (Richard Burgi) died when a tiny plane crashed on a tiny Santa house. On the other hand, Bree (Marcia Cross), with whom he‘s been having an affair prior to croaking, seems to be the least affected. No hardcore grieving episode whatsoever, or maybe because she‘s been busy attending to wheelchair-bound and mood-swinging Orson (Kyle MacLachlan)."I don‘t know whether they‘ll take time to explore that on camera... maybe I‘ll put a little bug in their ear about it. Yeah. Time for a little Burgi to show up as a ghost!" she tells Zap2it, adding that she doesn‘t feel that anyone could just get over something like that. Read more »
The arrival of a nice, almost maternal stripper named Robin (played by Dexter departed Julie Benz) to Wisteria Lane should‘ve been a sign of things to come, and boy will she heat things up on Desperate Housewives.TV Guide reports that Miss Benz‘s stripper will lock lips with one of the housewives on the ABC soap, and it‘s not her idol Susan (Teri Hatcher). It‘s loony Katherine (Dana Delaney)! Read more »
This can very well be the case of making a mountain out of a molehill, but Desperate Housewives is sure milking this upcoming girl-to-girl kiss for what it‘s worth. For her part, Dexter grad Julie Benz tells X17online that she enjoyed kissing Dana Delany, who plays Katherine on the show."Dana‘s a great kisser," she says. "Joining the cast of Desperate Housewives has been nothing short of amazing. The girls are all so fun to work with and have welcomed me with open arms. I‘m so thrilled that there is such a buzz about my character‘s relationship with Dana‘s. It‘s really beautiful and was so fun to shoot." Read more »

We just saw him recently on Desperate Housewives, but don‘t count on Gaby‘s (Eva Longoria-Parker) former gardener turned restaurateur to make a return to Wisteria Lane soon. Jesse Metcalfe booked a role on Chase, a Jerry Bruckheimer-produced NBC drama about a law enforcement team that tracks fugitives in Texas.Metcalfe, 31, who played teenage gardener John Rowland on the inaugural season of Desperate Housewives, is set to play a new member of the team who just arrived from Washington. If you‘re like most people, you probably find the whole Angie storyline on Desperate Housewives a little snooze-inducing because of its pace. We also found out that Danny is Patrick‘s son, and it was Nick who whisked her away to safety.Elsewhere on "My Two Young Men" Gaby (Eva Longoria Parker) and Susan (Teri Hatcher) go to "shameless lengths" to top each other‘s kids, in no doubt a continuation to the whole giraffe and leopard debacle about groupings in school. I had never been to Costa Mesa, California before this past weekend.  So why did I make the hour trek out from Los Angeles?  I had to be at Loehmann‘s to see Band from TV!  Like any obsessive House fan, I knew that they would be playing.  Who‘s Band from TV, you ask? Band from TV is a band with TV actors that play solely for the charities of their choice.  So why did they decide to play at a department store?  Well, as it turns out, it‘s not that weird.  According to one of the band‘s founding members, Greg Grunberg of Heroes, playing at Loehmann‘s makes perfect sense because Grunberg‘s iPhone app "Yowza" offers coupons to the discount department store.  Listen to the exclusive interview with Greg Grunberg  Read more »
Desperate Housewives is not a stranger to sensational season finales. Last season‘s closer featured the culmination of crazy/creepy Dave‘s (Neil McDonough) plan, albeit spoiled by a last minute crisis of conscience.
