As Seth Bullock, Timothy Olyphant established himself as one of the central elements of HBO‘s award-winning series Deadwood.  His character penetrated Deadwood with the intention to become a merchant, resulting to the establishment of a hardware franchise with his business partner and friend Sol Star.  However, his staunch ideas of right and wrong soon pulled him to law enforcement, eventually becoming Sheriff of Montana Territory.  Overall, he substantially gave life to the Western-drama as one of the few honest men in the camp and as a naturally good leader. In the coming months, the 39-year-old actor will be gracing the big screen with several drama and action-themed projects. Read more »
Ian McShane was highly praised for his portrayal of Al Swearengen on HBO‘s Deadwood, which earned him a Golden Globe award for depicting the de facto head of Deadwood.  As the corrupt proprietor of The Gem Saloon, he forged a formidable position in the county, having the most popular place for drinking, gambling and prostitution, as well as a base of operations for various criminal endeavors that inflicts his control over the territory.  Cunning and manipulative, he showed no hesitation in resorting to violence and murder, making him the most cynically immoral of all the characters.  In the coming months, he‘ll be featured in numerous movies where he‘ll be using his acting expertise in action-adventure stories and lending his voice in several animated flicks. Read more »
Brad Dourif was noted for playing Dr. Amos Cochran on HBO‘s Deadwood. As the only doctor in the camp, his character was well respected and revered despite his apparent substance abuse problem.  Throughout the show, he took his profession seriously, which included taking care of the whores at The Gem, and even maintained an interest in medical research, which put him more in sympathy with modern physicians than his contemporaries. Dourif lingered on the show from 2004 to 2006 and earned several award nominations for being an outstanding supporting cast member.  This year, the 57-year-old actor will be marking his comeback with several drama films and a horror movie. Read more »
John Hawkes was famously known for his role on HBO‘s Deadwood.  He played Sol Star, the life-long best friend of Seth Bullock (Timothy Olyphant) and partner in the hardware business.  Generally, his character was composed and sensible but highly capable of standing up for himself whenever provoked.  As the only Jew in the camp, he was often mocked by Al Swearengen (Ian McShane) but refused to be affected by his ridicule.  Aside from his business acumen, he was also noted for his infatuation with Trixie, Al Swearengen‘s favorite whore.  In the coming months, the he will be featured in a series of movies, ranging from drama, crime and comedy. Read more »

Farnum on the HBO Western Deadwood became mayor by default when no one else wanted the position during a town meeting. Pointlessly proud of his job, he took great pride in acting like the leader of the town when, in reality, he had no power and asked Al Swearengen for permission to do anything.
