Articles for Dancing with the Stars Season 7

After a long summer, Dancing with the Stars season 7 finally premiered tonight. The 13 couples took the stage to perform either the cha cha cha or the foxtrot, and it was a great two hours filled with laughs, strong performances and some really bad ones. All 13 couples performed tonight, but only 12 will continue on tomorrow to dance either the quickstep or the mambo. Then on Wednesday night, we‘ll have the very first Dancing with the Stars results show of the season. Read on to see how the night‘s performances went. Read more »
Dancing with the Stars‘s three-night premiere event continued tonight with the second round of performances.  For the first time in Dancing with the Stars history, all 13 teams had to prepare two different routines for the first week, but only 12 teams got the chance to perform their second dance tonight.Jeffrey Ross and Edyta Sliwinska received the lowest combined total of judges‘ scores and audience votes from last night.  They found out at the end of night that they would go no further in the competition.Read on to see how the other 12 couples fared tonight. Read more »
The three- night Dancing with the Stars premiere event continues tonight! For the past two nights, we‘ve been treated to 25 routines.  The first night featured cha cha cha and foxtrot; we got to see some mambo and quickstep last night.  Already, Jeffrey Ross and Edyta Sliwinska have fallen, having failed to impress either the judges or the audience at home.  There will be another elimination tonight.  Rocco and Cloris are at the bottom of the standings, but will their fans pull them through to next week?  Will it be Kim‘s last appearance on the dance floor?Whatever happens tonight, I‘ll be recording everything right here in my live thoughts. Read more »
Dancing with the Stars premiered this week with three consecutive nights of programming. Over the course of the three nights, we were witness to 25 routines (26 if you count Jeff and Edyta’s quickstep on Wednesday night). There was so much dancing that pretty much every second of this week’s five hours of Dancing with the Stars was filled with dancing, with very little filler. That certainly makes me a happy camper. What doesn’t make me happy, however, is that Ted McGinley and Inna Brayer were shown the door this week. Read more »
Dancing with the Stars kept us entertained with five hours of programming this week. ABC keeps trying to make drama about the show, pointing out the father-son, brother-sister, youngest-oldest rivalries, but I’m really just interested in the dancing, personally. Good thing, then, that we were veritably saturated in ballroom dance this week, and for the most part, it was very entertaining.I’ve had a few days to mull over the three-night premiere, and I have come up with a list of bests and worsts of the week. Read more »
Week 2 of Dancing with the Stars commenced with two of the show‘s most difficult styles, the rumba and the paso doble. This is the first time on Dancing with the Stars that these two styles have been featured so early on in the competition, challenging the contestants like never before. There were some excellent performances – two teams are tied for first place, with a third team only one point behind – and there were some pretty bad performances too. You can probably guess which teams ended up at the bottom of the judges‘ leaderboard. However, it was another entertaining night of Dancing with the Stars. Read more »
This season of Dancing with the Stars has been a season of superlatives.  We‘ve had the largest cast, the youngest star, the oldest star, and this year was the first time everyone has had to prepare two dances in the very first week of competition.  And this week, the stars had to perform two of the most difficult styles in the second week - the earliest these styles have appeared in the history of Dancing with the Stars.Last night‘s scores show the diversity in talent this year, with some very high scores and some very low scores.  The audience votes have all been tallied, and we‘ll soon find out whose dancing journey ends tonight. Read more »
Dancing with the Stars unceremoniously kicked Kim Kardashian and Mark Ballas to the curb last night. Although they did not have the lowest score from the judges after Monday night’s performance – they were third from the bottom – they obviously failed to capture the interest of us viewers at home.In the interest of full disclosure, I have to admit that I wasn’t a huge fan of Kim’s to begin with. I thought it was weird that a family show like Dancing with the Stars would want her to participate in the first place. (In retrospect, however, I do think it was a good way for the show to break into new markets.) Read more »
On Tuesday night, when Kim Kardashian and Mark Ballas became the third couple to be eliminated from Dancing with the Stars season 7. As is their custom, hosts Tom Bergeron and Samantha Harris allowed the ousted pair to say their good-byes and have a final dance together.Kim‘s final words were a tribute to her late father, and Mark followed up with a horrible gaffe. Read more »
Two-time Indianapolis 500 champ and winner of season 5 of Dancing with the Stars Helio Castroneves was due in court today after being indicted on multiple counts of tax evasion yesterday. The Brazilian born race car driver was charged in Miami, where he owns a home, for failing to report $5.5 million in income to the Internal Revenue Service between 1999 and 2002. His sister Kati, who acts as his manager, and his attorney Alan R. Miller were also indicted. Read more »
Arguably, the best part of watching Dancing with the Stars is the cadre of professional dancers who are tasked to teach celebrities who have never danced before to compete in a televised ballroom competition. Over the seven seasons of the show‘s existence, we‘ve gotten to know these dancing pros and have watched them in awe as they flawlessly perform week after week. They are class acts, these dancers, for their dedication to the show, to their craft and to us, their fans. One of these special dancers is Tony Dovolani. I got the chance to talk to him about the journey he has been through with his partner Susan Lucci this season. He‘s had quite the busy fall, with the arrival of his twins and the challenging schedule of teaching and performing two dances for the first week of competition, not to mention the long commute between New York and Los Angeles every week. He talked about the kinds of challenges that beginners face when learning how to dance, he gave his opinion about some of his competitors this season and he spoke at length about why he is not just a performer on Dancing with the Stars, but also a fan. His passion for the art of ballroom dancing is as apparent as his costumes are spectacular.Tonight, Susan Lucci and Tony Dovolani will be performing the jive, and Tony promises that it will be a good one. Read more »
Dancing with the Stars celebrity Misty May-Treanor has suffered an injury on Friday and is out of the competition for good.In a statement released by ABC, the producers of Dancing with the Stars said, “Misty May-Treanor sustained an injury on Friday and received immediate medical attention.”Doctors are now saying that her injury is to her Achilles tendon. The Olympic beach volleyball star is resting comfortably at home, but her competition on Dancing with the Stars must come to an end. Read more »
Tonight, Tom Bergeron and Samantha Harris waited until the last moments of tonight‘s Dancing with the Stars performance show before giving us the update about Misty May-Treanor‘s injury and her future on the show. I don‘t want to leave you in suspense, so I‘ll begin with that bit of news.Misty May-Treanor and Maksim Chmerkovskiy were supposed to perform the jive tonight, but in rehearsal on Friday, Misty hurt herself and ended up rupturing her Achilles tendon. This is a very serious injury, and she‘s scheduled to have surgery tomorrow. She and Maks are officially out of the competition; however, there is no word yet on whether anyone will be replacing them. I think some BuddyTV members might be on to something, however. A few of you have been suggesting that there probably won‘t be any eliminations this week, so be sure to watch the Dancing with the Stars results show tomorrow. The show must go on, however, and here is the breakdown of the other nine teams. Read more »
Thanks to the presidential debate, Dancing with the Stars is airing its results show an hour earlier this week.  That‘s too bad, because I‘d love to see what Bruno Tonioli has to say about  the election.  Your usual recapper, the fabulous Debbie Chang, is otherwise preoccupied, so I‘m filling in.  I may not watch Dancing with the Stars, but Debbie told me everything I need to know.  Brooke is good, Lance and Lacey are being sandbagged so they don‘t run away with the competition, Cloris is funny but awful, and there will probably not be an elimination tonight.Since Dancing with the Stars has a set number of episodes, they can‘t afford to lose two couples in a single week, so with Misty May dropping out, I‘m predicting this will be a non-elimination leg.  Wait, that‘s the wrong reality show. Read more »
Editor‘s Note: This is a weekly guest post from the TV staff at Film.com. Check back here on Wednesdays for more Film.com stories about your favorite shows: Big Brother, The Amazing Race, Dancing with the Stars, Survivor, American Idol and America‘s Next Top Model. .By Susan Young, Film.comIt‘s starting to look more like the Waltz of the Wounded than Dancing with the Stars. Even before the competition started, every tabloid in town posted screaming headlines and video about Kim Kardashian‘s bout with a hotel room coffee table. The glass broke, and Kimmers received a nasty slice on her big toe. Her pals over-reacted by saying there was so much blood, it looked like a war zone. Actually, it looked more like someone got a bad paper cut. But the little princess played it for all it was worth.  Read more »
Bless her foul-mouthed soul, but I think it‘s time for Cloris Leachman to leave the competition on Dancing with the Stars. She has cheated death for too long on the show.Of course, outside of the context of Dancing with the Stars, I want this octogenarian to live forever. She gives me hope that there is so much to look forward to as life progresses into your eighth decade, and that old dames can and should steal the show.I don‘t think anyone will argue that she‘s done a great job for an 82-year-old. I would challenge any of you to be better than her when you reach that age. She has entertained us with wacky routines, full of broad humor and visual gags. Her antics after her routines have been off-the-wall funny, especially in the first week when she propped her leg up on the judges‘ table and shoved her cleavage into Len Goodman‘s face. Read more »
Dancing with the Stars returned again for another week tonight. There were no eliminations last week because of Misty May-Treanor‘s Achilles tendon injury, so there was added pressure for all the remaining teams to step up. The judges‘ scores and viewers‘ votes from last week will all be carried over to this week, so everything counts.Tonight‘s Dancing with the Stars featured the high-energy samba and the fiery, traditional tango. Read on to see how the teams fared. Read more »
It‘s go time on Dancing with the Stars tonight.  Last week, Rocco and Karina were spared the cruel fate of elimination by an unfortunate turn of fate: Misty May-Treanor‘s devastating injury.  We‘ll see tonight whether Rocco and Karina‘s fans voted enough to keep them in the competition. All the judges‘ scores and audience votes from last week and last nigth will be combined to determine which team will be leaving Dancing with the Stars tonight.  Who will it be?  Also, tonight, we‘ll find out which two teams make up the bottom two.  Stay with me throughout the hour as I provide you with live thoughts. Read more »
Dancing with the Stars said good-bye to Rocco DiSpirito and Karina Smirnoff last night in perhaps the least-shocking elimination in the show‘s history. Seriously, who didn‘t know that the chef would be leaving? He barely registers a blip on the audience‘s charism-o-meter. Don‘t get me wrong, I think he‘s a great guy, but dude has absolutely zero natural talent in dance, zero chemistry with Karina, and zero sense of rhythm. I‘m surprised he made it this far. As Bruno Tonioli said on Monday night, “My accountant does a better samba!”Notwithstanding the predictable elimination, last night‘s results show was actually pretty entertaining. This is saying a lot because I usually find Dancing with the Stars results shows to be just about the dullest hour of television in the entire week – and I‘m even watching 90210 too! I think it was the spoof political ads that made the evening for me. Read more »
We‘re already half-way through season 7 of Dancing with the Stars. Since the very beginning of the competition, Brooke Burke has proven herself to be a hot chick who can really dance. She got the highest score in the first night of competition and has been at the top of the leaderboard ever since. (Well, technically, she was tied for first place with Lance Bass this week.)Brooke‘s performance thus far reminds me of Kristi Yamaguchi‘s amazing streak last season on Dancing with the Stars. Kristi immediately proved herself to be a champion right from the get-go, with a foxtrot that blew everyone away. Of course, Kristi went on to win the mirror ball trophy, and the question right now is: will Brooke Burke do the same? Read more »
Dancing with the Stars is throwing a twist next week by introducing four new styles of dance that have never before been seen on the show. These styles are the hustle, jitterbug, salsa and West coast swing. As Len Goodman explained in the Dancing with the Stars results show this week, the judges will be looking more for entertainment value rather than pure technique in these new styles. If this is true, then this leaves the competition wide open. Some people are blessed with the natural ability to put on a good show, and others have the knack for learning dance steps. Some people, like Monica Seles from last season, have neither. The question is, if technique is going to be de-emphasized slightly, which of the eight remaining celebrity dancers will have an advantage, and which will be in danger of getting eliminated from the competition? Read more »
ABC has closed its doors on Opportunity Knocks, making it the network‘s first show to be swept under the rug and the second new series to be pulled from the fall schedule following the FOX comedy Do Not Disturb. The traveling game show was a bit of a disappointment during its run, averaging only a 1.9 rating and a 5 share among its target audience, adults 18-49.  It‘s also only averaged 6.3 million viewers, which may seem like a lot, but serving as a lead in to the results show of Dancing with the Stars, which is presently one of TV‘s most popular programs, it‘s simply lackluster. Read more »
Tonight was a first in Dancing with the Stars history: we saw four brand new styles never before seen on the show. These new styles represented not only a challenge for the stars, but a challenge for the professional dancers too, as most of them were new at these styles. For the most part, the judges were extremely generous with points tonight. A 7 was the lowest score given tonight. Read on to see the breakdown of the evening‘s performances. Read more »
Last night on Dancing with the Stars, everyone stepped up their game and performed high-scoring routines.  At the top of the leaderboard are the Hough siblings, and their respective partners.  At the bottom, tied for last place are Cloris and Lance.  Everyone else is somewhere in the middle, and it‘s actually a pretty close game.Of course, now it‘s down to the audience votes.  We‘ll find out on tonight‘s results show which of the top 8 teams will continue for at least another week.  Keep refreshing your web browser because I‘ll be here with my live thoughts. Read more »
What is going on with Dancing with the Stars contestants and going to the hospital? Even before the season started, Kim Kardashian cut her foot the day before she found out she would be on the show. Then, in the dress rehearsal for the very first appearance, Jeffrey Ross suffered a scratched cornea when his partner Edyta Sliwinska accidentally poked him in the eye. Misty May-Treanor had to pull out of the competition when she tore her Achilles tendon, and Susan Lucci fractured two bones in her foot. The latest dancer from Dancing with the Stars to get rushed to the hospital is Julianne Hough. She and her partner Cody Linley wowed the audience Monday night with their I Love Lucy-themed jitterbug, and then gave on encore performance in last night‘s results show. After the results show was over, Julianne was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center to address the acute stomach pains she had been having all day. Read more »
When the pairs of Dancing With The Stars were first announced this season, it seemed that Lance Bass and Lacey Schwimmer would easily sail to the finale but the road there has not been easy thus far. The judges have come down hard on them, particularly Len, for not sticking to traditional ballroom while tabloids have thrust Lacey’s weight (and Cheryl Burke’s) into the spotlight, sparking heated debates. The show runs the contestants at a constant, strenuous pace so every now and then, it must be nice to sit down, relax, and have a little fun. This week, Lance and Lacey interviewed each other for Entertainment Tonight and we learned more about the pair than ever before. Read on to find out what they had to say! Read more »
Dancing with the Stars served up a big surprise last week when Toni Braxton and Alec Mazo were given the boot. I thought that this was a bit of an unfair elimination because they didn‘t have the lowest score (although they were only one point away from the bottom) and, in my estimation, Toni Braxton has a lot more potential for becoming a great ballroom dancer than all of her scores have reflected. But considering the behavior of some of her competitors this week, maybe it‘s because Toni is too classy a lady to stay on the show. Read more »
The news just keeps getting worse. TMZ reports that Dancing with the Stars‘ Julianne Hough‘s ailment last week was more than just a stomach ache. She has an ovarian cyst. She will be undergoing surgery minor surgery to remove her appendix, but she will be dancing tonight. (The appendectomy is unrelated to the cyst.)This two-time Dancing with the Stars champion went to the hospital after last week‘s live results show with stomach pains. On her website (JulianneHough.com), she confirms that she has been diagnosed with endometriosis, a common medical condition that causes the development of uterine-lining tissue on surfaces of organs in the pelvis or abdomen where uterine tissue is not supposed to grow. This condition affects five to ten percent of women of reproductive age around the world. Read more »
As you all know by now, two-time Dancing with the Stars champion Julianne Hough has been diagnosed with endometriosis and will be having surgery today to have her appendix removed. She announced last night after her performance on Dancing with the Stars that Edyta Sliwinska will take over for her as Cody Linley‘s teacher and dance partner.Earlier today, Julianne Hough shared details about her surgery and expected prognosis on her blog, which can be found exclusively at Fancast.com. Read more »
There are many things that Dancing with the Stars is. It‘s family-friendly entertainment, an enjoyable journey watching people with no background in dance perform fabulous tangos, or even a trip down memory lane as we root for stars who were famous way back when. However, one thing that Dancing with the Stars is usually not is funny. That is, until Cloris Leachman came on the scene.Cloris Leachman is an 82 freaking years old. She is old. Even after her long and illustrious career as an actress, if she chose to spend her twilight years sitting in a rocking chair and knitting lopsided hats for her grandchildren, nobody would bat an eyelash. Yet, here she is, cutting a rug and swearing like a sailor while she dances. Read more »

Health scares are becoming a dime a dozen on Dancing with the Stars these days. Just days after Julianne Hough found out that her stomach pains that required a trip to the hospital were because of a condition called endometriosis, her fellow Dancing with the Stars professional, Lacey Schwimmer, has found out that she has the disease as well.Lacey Schwimmer, who rose to national fame on FOX‘s So You Think You Can Dance before changing networks and joining Dancing with the Stars, found out today that she is in the early stages of the condition that causes uterine tissue to grow outside of the uterus. Read more »
If you still haven‘t come up with a good outfit to go trick-or-treating in this year, BuddyTV offers our top 10 suggestions for TV-related Halloween costumes.<<PREVIOUS     |     NEXT>>For the woman with a great body who wants to show it off, leave the French maid outfit for another year, because if you really want to pump up the sex appeal, simply go as Dancing with the Stars pro Edyta Sliwinska. The sexy ballroom star is notorious for her ultra-skimpy outfits, so all you have to do is find the shortest skirt you can, tie a handkerchief or some equally small piece of fabric around your chest, and dance the night away as the center of everyone‘s attention. If you have a male escort who wants in on the fun, Dancing with the Stars pro Tony Dovolani is the perfect companion, so long as he wears a shirt with a V-neck that goes down below his navel. Read more »
On Tuesday of this week, Julianne Hough of Dancing with the Stars went under the knife to have her appendix removed, but she‘ll be back on her feet pretty soon. She is expected to be out of the dance part of the competition for at least two weeks, but she‘s still planning on showcasing her other career – as a country music singer – during the Dancing with the Stars results show on November 11.Julianne Hough has successfully completely surgery in Los Angeles and is resting comfortably at home with her family. She was recently diagnosed with endometriosis, which can cause cysts to form on her ovaries. Removing her appendix was a preventive measure because the cysts can cause the appendix to become infected later on. Read more »
Read the latest Dancing with the Stars ResultsDancing with the Stars was back to normal last night after last week‘s performances of brand new styles.  The top seven couples were back to the traditional styles that we know and love on Dancing with the Stars.  However, the scoring was all haywire due to the fact that Michael Flatley, Lord of the Dance, was filling in for head judge and senior crankypants Len Goodman. The evening culminated with a big group hip hop number choreographed by Shotyme.  The judges did not score this performance, and good thing too because it was laughably horrendous.  Some of these dancers cannot pull off old school hip hop, and I‘m sure you know who I‘m talking about. And so, rather than just giving you a rundown of the night‘s performances based on the judges‘ scores, read on to find out my humble opinion on who was at the top, who was at the bottom, and everyone else in between. Read more »
Read the latest Dancing with the Stars ResultsDancing with the Stars is full of twists and turns in its seventh season. Tonight, instead of having the couples perform a second individual dance each, as they would have in past seasons, they were put into two big groups of three couples, and they had a team competition, as well as an individual. At the end of the evening, each couple‘s score was added up – individual plus team – to yield an overall score out of 60.I‘ll have two separate performance rankings, one for the individual Dancing with the Stars competition and one for the team. Read more »
There are six couples left in the competition on Dancing with the Stars. At this moment, I think that all six couples, with the exception of one, absolutely deserve their spot in the top six. You can probably already guess which one I want out.Our three judges, Len, Carrie Ann and Bruno, have all been kissing Susan Lucci‘s ass every week, and frankly, I‘m tired of it. They all must be afraid of her or something. Or as BuddyTV member JulieLove points out, maybe the big wigs at ABC are pulling strings behind the scenes and instructing the judges to keep Susan Lucci around since she is the star of another ABC show, All My Children. Who knows what the reason is? I just want it to end. Read more »
Read the latest Dancing with the Stars ResultsDancing with the Stars finally got it right. The hit show bade Susan Lucci and Tony Dovolani adieu with a rather harsh musical selection, "Hit the Road, Jack" last night. It was definitely her time to leave – I‘ve been hoping for her departure ever since Kim Kardashian left the show – but I can‘t deny that Susan left on a very classy note.Susan Lucci seemed like the only celebrity of season 7 who was continually plagued by self-doubt and low confidence in her dance abilities. Even Cloris Leachman, who had exactly zero ability, didn‘t ever look unsure of herself or worried. Maybe that‘s what the judges were picking up on when they were fawning over Susan, trying to build up her self-esteem. I‘m sure that all the travel back and forth between L.A. and New York, where the set of All My Children is located, didn‘t help them. Susan, who plays Erica Kane on that long-running soap opera, always looked tired and stressed out Read more »

Read the latest Dancing with the Stars ResultsDancing with the Stars continues to bring us twist after twist this season. Last week, we had out first group competition, which pitted Team Cha Cha against Team Paso Doble. (In case you missed it, Team Paso trounced the Cha Chas in a very big way.) This week, with just two weeks until the season finale, the couples were all given two different styles to learn and to perform, one traditional ballroom and one Latin, but the catch this time was that each celebrity had to do a solo of at least 15 seconds during the Latin dance, without his or her professional partner there to prop them up.Brooke Burke has been dominating the competition so far, but I think the challenge of learning and then performing so much material really gave some of her competitors a chance to edge her out. She still came out at the top of the leaderboard last night, but Warren Sapp came in and took the number 2 spot. Read on to see how I personally ranked the 10 performances last night. Read more »
Read the latest Dancing with the Stars ResultsMaurice Greene may have been the one-time fastest man in the world, and Cheryl Burke‘s hardest working partner to date, but neither of that is enough to stay on Dancing with the Stars. But I‘m sure his elimination wasn‘t a surprise to anyone. Think about it. It couldn‘t have been Brooke Burke or Warren Sapp because these two are simply on fire. Also, Lance Bass has a vociferous fan base who will protect him from Len Goodman‘s crankiness at all cost. Finally, you just know that people wanted to see the newly recovered Julianne Hough to come back to Dancing with the Stars for at least one last huzzah, so Cody Linley was safe.It was practically a foregone conclusion that Maurice would be ousted, but at least he left us with a catchphrase. What does "Winner, winner, chicken dinner" even mean, anyway? Read more »

BuddyTV interviews Kenny Mayne, ESPN personality, former Dancing with the Stars contestant and star of ESPN.com‘s Mayne Street.Kenny Mayne has done it all at ESPN.  If you watch SportsCenter these days, his footprint is all over.  With Keith Olberman and Craig Kilborn, Kenny Mayne was one of the first sportscasters to become a star in their own right, bringing off-beat humor to the formerly droll occupation of presiding over sports highlights.  In addition to being a SportsCenter anchor, Mayne has written books, produced segments on the road and, recently, even competed on Dancing with the Stars.  He has since appeared on Dancing with the Stars in a guest role on numerous occasions.  Today, Mayne released the first episode of his web series, Mayne Street, on ESPN.com.  The series follows Mayne, playing a version of himself, as what he calls “a poor man‘s Larry David.”  Recently, we had the chance to speak with Kenny about Mayne Street, his career at ESPN and his time on Dancing with the Stars. You can find the full mp3 audio of the interview below. Read more »

We didn‘t have a tremendously shocking elimination on tonight‘s Dancing with the Stars results show, but it was actually pretty entertaining, nonetheless, as results shows go.  The musical guest was Ne-Yo, and the guest dance performance was by the Spanish sibling sensation known as Los Vivancos, who might be my new favorite thing.  But best of all, we had the return of the Ballroom Kids competition.  Two young teams in the 11 and under category performed: Jessica and Mitchell danced a cha cha cha, and Hannah and Kirill danced a samba.  The judges picked the latter team to come back and compete in the finals. Now, onto the rest of the evening. Read more »
Misty May-Treanor‘s devastating injury shocked and saddened her and Maks‘ many fans last week on Dancing with the Stars, but as Misty herself said, "The show must go on."  Because they had to withdraw from the competition, we had a non-shocking, non-elimination results show last Tuesday, but it‘s back to business as usual this week.Nine teams remain.  Rocco and Karina would have been eliminated last week; was that just the motivation they needed to work even harder for tonight‘s performance?  All the judges‘ scores and viewers votes from last week are being carried over to this week.  It‘s live television, so anything can happen.  And I‘ll be right here all night with my live thoughts. Read more »
If you predicted that no one would leave tonight on Dancing with the Stars tonight because Misty May-Treanor dropped out, you were right. If you didn‘t figure it out, Tom Bergeron probably thinks you‘re a moron. In the final five minutes of the Dancing with the Stars results show, Bergeron casually stated that no one would be going home, making it sound as if this were something we all generally agreed upon when, in actuality, Bergeron and the show dragged it out for 55 minutes, because if they started the show with that announcement, everyone would have turned the channel. This isn‘t to say the episode was a total waste. Dancing with the Stars gave us fairy farts, creepy incest dancing, and Edyta Sliwinska in an outfit that made every homosexual man and heterosexual woman momentarily question their respective sexual orientations. Read more »
The field continues to narrow on Dancing with the Stars tonight.  We started out the season with 13 teams, and now we‘re down to the top 10.  The real competition is beginning in earnest, and we‘ll surely be seeing more great performances tonight. The 10 remaining teams will be dancing either the jive or the Viennese waltz tonight.  Unfortunately, one team who will not be performing is Misty May-Treanor and Maksim Chmerkovskiy.  We‘ll find out the latest news on Misty‘s injury and who, if anyone, will be taking her place.  Anything can happen, and it‘ll all be recorded right here so stay with me all night. Read more »
Dancing with the Stars is one of those unpredictable reality that half-relies on the whims of the American public to make its weekly elimination decisions. Sometimes, America agrees with the judges, sometimes their tastes diverge. Last week on Dancing with the Stars, 13 new stars made their dancing debut on the dance floor.  Some, such as Brooke Burke and Lance Bass, surprised us all with entertaining and technically proficient routines. Others, such as Cloris Leachman and Kim Kardashian, escaped elimination by the skin of their teeth. But as you know, things could all turn around tonight.  Who will end up on top?  Who will wind up in the bottom of the pack and will be at the mercy of the audience votes?  Whatever happens tonight, I‘ll be here to record it in my live thoughts.  Stay with me! Read more »
Dancing with the Stars picked off a huge week with two consecutive nights of exciting performances.  There were standard dances, flashy Latin dances, good dances, bad dances and more than one inappropriate sexual or monetary bribe (I‘m looking at you, Cloris Leachman!).  And tonight, the fun continued with the first Dancing with the Stars results show of the season. The first elimination of the season actually occurred last night when Jeffrey Ross and Edyta Sliwinska were shown the door.  However, they were welcomed back tonight when they performed the quickstep that they would have danced last night.  The performance was actually pretty good.  For Jeff, that is. Read more »
