Damages returns for its sophomore season tonight, 15 months since we last enjoyed the dark legal drama.  This season, it‘s all about characters seeking revenge or repentance.  After her exceptional victory over billionaire Arthur Frobisher, Patty Hewes is back and this time, the legal world is at her feet. The season opener called “I lied, too,” which acts as both a flashback and plate-setter as to where the story goes from here, sees Patty taking a break from the law and focusing her attention to her new charitable foundation.  But her world crumbles down as she receives a call from Daniel Purcell, a man from her mysterious past, and finds herself entangled in a new legal challenge with personal and professional repercussions, the likes of which she could never have imagined.  And what starts as a domestic murder case, escalates into the highest reaches of government as Patty unearths a vast conspiracy. Read more »
