Criminal Minds returned last night, giving resolution to the explosive third season cliffhanger that left viewers mulling over months.  Now that we know who died and who didn‘t (which I won‘t spoil in this article), we can now focus our attention to what the rest of the season has to offer.Thanks to E! In last week‘s season premiere of Criminal Minds, which won its time slot in almost all key categories, we saw how the BAU team responded to the aftermath of the terrorist bombing in New York City. We also witnessed how the team fought to save their colleagues and tried to catch the terrorists responsible for the mayhem.  While it was revealed that Kate Joyner was the agent critically, and eventually fatally, injured by the exploding SUV, Hotchner didn‘t escape the tragedy scratch-free.  In fact, Hotch will be struggling his depression as the police procedural drama heads further into the fourth season.Read on for a preview of tonight‘s episode. Read more »
Criminal Minds is presently on the look out for several guest stars who can add some spice to the upcoming episode of the police procedural drama. Besides the dark psychological aspect of Criminal Minds, another reason to tune in the show is Shemar Moore. The 37-year-old actor, who plays the confident and assertive Derek Morgan, has attracted many viewers since his modeling days, as well during his exposure on The Young and the Restless and Soul Train.  Recently, Moore, who is often referred to as “a dreamboat” by his female costars, guest starred on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to hint that he‘s single and that he‘s already got his eyes on someone he‘s been crushing on for quite some time. Next week, Criminal Minds will be airing “Penelope,” the eighth episode of the third season which originally aired on November 21, 2007.  This installment marked the appearance of Nicholas Brendon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), who became part of a storyline that saw the BAU team reuniting to determine if Garcia‘s life is being threatened by a serial killer.  The week after that, however, the police procedural will be airing a new episode that features two notable guests.First up is Wil Wheaton, who first gained attention by starring in the 1986 Rob Reiner film Stand by Me.  The 36-year-old actor will be appearing on Criminal Minds as the character Floyd Hansen in the episode called “Paradise.” Read more »
Once on the FBI‘s hackers‘ list, Penelope Garcia, portrayed by Kirsten Vangsness, has been recruited by the BAU as the team‘s audio-visual technician, which requires her to listen to and watch terrifying things in her office to analyze them for the team. While she significantly contributes to the team‘s success, one thing that Criminal Minds fans look forward to is her chemistry with special agent Derek Morgan, played by eye-candy Shemar Moore.According to Vangsness, who sat down with Hollywood 411‘s Madison Michele for an interview, her on-screen chemistry with Moore is just something that reflects how they treat each other in real life. Read more »

Tonight‘s Criminal Minds is the second part of a two-part episode to close this Reid-retracing-back-his-past storyline.  The previous investigation is apparently not a done deal at least for him, as he discovered connections between the case and his own past.On the last episode of Criminal Minds, the team barged into a house basement where they discovered the body of a young boy.  Of course, it would turn out to be a dream, nevertheless we get a hint that it was going to be a Reid-centric (Matthew Gray Gubler) episode.  When the team went back to business, they found out two boys who‘ve gone missing with both parents being taunted meaning the cases are connected somehow.  Wouldn‘t you know it, Reid had another dream.  He walked down into a dark basement and saw the six-year-old boy and started rubbing his chest and found leeches covering his entire body. Read more »

Criminal Minds fans who have been missing J.J. Jareau will soon have a quick dose of the blooming special agent.  As reported before, the show has incorporated an expectant J.J. to accommodate the real-life childbirth and maternity leave of cast member A.J. Cook.  This means, JJ will be giving birth simultaneously with her portrayer.  And because of this, Cook was originally set to return to work at her leisure, but ideally in time for midseason.But according to TV Guide, Cook will be returning to Criminal Minds earlier than expected. It‘s been nine long months since inconsolable Moonlight fans last saw Alex O‘Loughlin playing sexy vampire turned private investigator Mick St. John.  Soon, however, he‘ll be returning to our small screens when he joins the cast of Criminal Minds. According to Entertainment Weekly‘s Michael Ausiello, the Moonlight star will be returning to CBS to play a serial killer in at least one episode of Criminal Minds, which is tentatively scheduled to air in April.  This marks O‘Loughlin‘s first TV comeback following the cancellation of his cult-favorite paranormal series. Read more »
