Articles for Bones Season 5

I hardly thought it possible, to love Glee more than I did after its adorable premiere. A premiere, that begged from the TV screen for viewers to break into song, but after meeting the cast in Los Angeles, I am even more smitten. In the coming weeks I‘ll be posting my interviews with the stable of FOX stars I interviewed--David Boreanaz, Jane Lynch, Matthew Morrison, Emily Deschanel, and Eliza Dushku--to name just a few. But today, I wanted to share the story of what happened and what I learned when this converse loving girl donned heels and went to an honest-to-god red carpet event in LA and spent her evening chatting up the cast of FOX‘s hottest new show.   Read more »
The only person more excited for season 5 of Bones than us fans, may verywell be Tamara Taylor. Massive change is afoot at The Jeffersonian andfor Dr. Cam Saroyan during season 5, and Tamara Taylor couldn‘t behappier, or more lovely.Though she plays quite the intimidating character on TV, in person Tamara Taylor is anything but. She‘s easy going, surprisingly funny, and jaw-droppingly gorgeous. While she was dressed to the nines for our interview, in a retro polka dot frock that begged her to do a twirl, Tamara told me she‘s much more a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl and that she‘s a lot "goofier" than Cam.  Read more »
Sitting across from Emily Deschanel, it‘s difficult to rememberyou‘re not about to be analyzed by the cold logic of Dr. TemperanceBrennan. With the same piercing blue eyes that have captivated SeeleyBooth and seen through the lies of countless criminals Deschanel, to afan like me, IS Temperance Brennan. But sitting down with the actressfor a few minutes and sharing easy laughs and conversation well outsideof Bones‘ comfort level, you realize Temperance Brennan is just anincredibly well-crafted character portrayed to perfection by a talentedactress. In fact, Deschanel says she has little in common with thecharacter she‘s so expertly brought to life. Deschanel and Ichatted about the exciting adventures awaiting Booth and Bones thisseason, including a little something about tonight‘s Rumspringaepisode and what it was like working with Cyndi Lauper after she "butchered" one of her songs in a previous season. Of course, I asked her all about her thoughts on theBooth/Bones romance and if she‘s as excited for the possibilitiesbetween the two as we fans are. Deschanel even joked around about howshe and David Borneaz envision the pair‘s happy ending, "We‘re in therain, we run together in the rain..."  See my entire interviewwith Emily Deschanel and then be sure to tune into FOX tonightfor a brand new Bones episode, "The Plain in the Prodigy."  Read more »
For some time now, FOX has been reportedly toying the idea of staging an episode that would find Bones‘ Booth and Brennan working on a case with Lie to Me‘s Doc Lightman, though a couple of months ago, an insider cautioned that "it‘s in the very early stages and may not even happen." Read more »
A possible swine flu outbreak has unfortunately reached the set of Bones, the FOX procedural drama starring David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel. The news was confirmed by none other than Bones series creator Hart Hanson, who turned to his Twitter page to vent out his dismay.  Read more »
Sitting across from Bones‘ David Boreanaz is a bit like sitting across fromAdonis. The man is ridiculously (sweaty palm inducing) handsome and heanswers questions with a booming baritone that at times makes it difficult to separatehim from his iconic characters. Needless to say, it‘s a wee bitintimidating. But then peeking from his blue jeans, you see a flash ofloud, somewhat obnoxious orange striped socks. Socks that Seeley Boothmight deem too garish to wear. It‘s then that you realize the details that make Boreanaz‘s iconic characters so human, quirky, andrelatable are drawn from the man itself. A fact which Boreanaz quickly confirmed saying, "I am the inspiration for every quirk you see on Booth." And appraently some so over the top they won‘t even show on Bones.  Read more »
Exciting news for Bones and Deschanel fans! Zooey Deschanel, Emily‘stalented and equally adorable sister will finally be answering ourprayers and guest starring along side her big sister. Emily has longhoped her sister would someday join her as a guest star on Bones, andit looks like she‘s finally getting her wish. David Boreanaz spilled the newsto E! Online saying, "I do know that Emily‘s sisteris going to be on the next episode, which is exciting." Consideringeven the talented writers at Bones couldn‘t write away the sister‘s familial similarities, Zooey will be playing TemperanceBrennan‘s cousin. According to Boreanaz, "I think she‘s going to playEmily‘s cousin. It‘s a wholerelationship thing that‘s going on now with us and it continues to growand grow and get crazy."  Read more »

Other than a passionate Booth and Bones kiss, Bones fans have looked forward to few things more than the possibility of Emily Deschanel‘s sister and fellow actress Zooey guest starring on the show. We may still be waiting on a Booth and Bones kiss, but the wait is over when it comes to Zooey guest starring. Zooey will be joining big sister Emily this Thursday on Bones‘ annual Holiday episode, "The Goop on the Girl." I had a chance to chat with both Emily and Zooey during a conference call about working together, their childhood Christmases, and  more. The two are definitely sisters, Zooey and Emily spent the majority of the interview taking over each other, laughing at each other, and sounding virtually identical. It was difficult to keep them straight, but an absolute delight to listen to. Behold, the most adorable interview ever.  Read more »
Seeing how a double shot of Deschanels gave a boost to the ratings of Bones, it‘s not hard to imagine Zooey Deschanel returning to the procedural drama in the future. Last week‘s episode, "The Goop on the Girl," featured a guest appearance by Emily Deschanel‘s sister as Brennan‘s cousin Margaret--- which attracted 10.8 million viewers according to Nielsen‘s estimates.  Read more »

Two regular characters are tying the knot in the fifth season ender of Bones, though series creator Hart Hanson hints that the show might actually bypass the actual ceremony. Don‘t worry though, it won‘t be one of those dream sequence storylines nor will it be an exchange of vows via Post-It note a la Grey‘s Anatomy. Warning: Possible Spoilers Below Hello, my friends!  So, if you‘re like me, obsessed with spoilers and the latest Bones news that is, then you‘ve most likely heard all the buzz surrounding the Bones hundredth episode scheduled to air on April 8.  Although this is a painfully long way away from now, we can take comfort in the fact that we are at least getting several great tidbits and hints from the entire Bones crew not only about this momentous hundredth episode, but also about events taking place during the rest of the season.   Specifically, we know that one character will be confirmed pregnant, and the identity of this character is supposed to be revealed in this Thursday‘s episode, "The Proof in the Pudding."  Also, we know that two characters will be getting married most likely after the hundredth episode.  So, in order to pass the time until the flashback to Booth and Bones‘ first case, the release of Sweets‘ book, and the changing of Booth and Bones‘ relationship forever, I decided I would make a list of the possible marriage and pregnancy candidates.  Let me know what you think.  Who do you think is going to get married or is going to be pregnant?  Leave a comment below!   Read more »
The time has finally come for the public to voice their opinions. We‘re a bit late on picking the finalists, but 5 writers had to watch 92 videos and rank their favorites. We never expected this many submissions but we‘re happy so many people participated. It has been a joy watching all of the videos and being convinced of ships we didn‘t even know existed. As I‘ve mentioned in the past, not all the writers have seen all these shows. The finalists were picked simply for the quality of the video and how convinced we were by the couple. We had speculated previously that the major thematic moments had to be from 2009, but since we didn‘t know which moments were from 2009 and which weren‘t if we didn‘t watch a show, we had to just use our best judgment. Read more »
There‘s a lot going on for Bones this season, including the return of Zack, the controversial wedding, and the trip down memory lane of Booth and Brennan‘s first assignment together, among other things. Sweets has always played an important part in the Booth-Brennan saga on Bones. He first took interest in them as their therapist and then later made them subjects of his book, which basically concludes that Booth and Brennan are in love with each other. He also intervened just was Booth was about to tell Brennan that he‘s in love with her, believing that Booth‘s attraction was just the result of the alternate world he experienced during his coma.  Read more »
Ok, my friends, so I have to admit that I was very surprised by last week‘s episode, "The Proof in the Pudding."  In regards to the whole pregnancy storyline, we were definitely thrown some curveballs weren‘t we?  First, it was Michelle who we thought was pregnant according to the home pregnancy test Cam found in the bathroom at the lab, but then Angela confessed to the test being hers.   I did actually think that it was going to be Angela all along just because it made sense, and I was happy that the test was hers instead of Michelle‘s because although Cam can take a lot of things, I‘m not sure how she would‘ve dealt with having a pregnant, 16 year old daughter.  I mean, she couldn‘t even tell Michelle she loved her in the Christmas episode, "The Goop on the Girl," so I think a pregnancy would have been too much too soon.  Don‘t you think?     Read more »
Not surprisingly, everyone wants a piece of Conan O‘ Brien. The short-lived host of The Tonight Show, who was recently embroiled in the NBC-Jay Leno controversy, is now a hot commodity as more and more TV shows are showing interest in hiring the 46-year-old comedian.   Read more »

We‘ve got one more Bones episode until the winter hiatus, and that means that after this Thursday‘s episode, our favorite show will not be back on until April 8.  I know, right?  That will be exactly 62 days that we will be without Booth and Bones and the rest of the Squints.  I personally do not know how I‘m going to get through it yet, but, for now, I figured I‘d expound on my theories for the hundredth episode given some clues I‘ve seen in the past few episodes.    WARNING: Possible spoilers below!   Read more »
Back in season 2, a super badass villain was introduced in the form of The Gravedigger, who abducted people, buried them alive and then demanded ransom to reveal their location so they could be saved before they die of suffocation. The case hit close to home as The Gravedigger took Brennan and Hodgins and buried them alive. Bones eventually revisited this storyline in the fourth season in which the Gravedigger was revealed to be Assistant US Attorney Heather Taffet, who kidnapped Booth and left him for dead. And since then, Bones fans have been begging for justice to be served.  Read more »
So, we know you‘ve all been waiting for the results and they‘re finally here! Some of the best shippers around came out for our first ever video contest. The return of Zach Addy is one of the things fans look forward to on the 100th episode of Bones, which takes viewers back in time six years. A fan favorite since the beginning of the series, his career progress has fanned out throughout seasons, starting out as Brennan‘s brilliant young assistant before receiving his doctorate degree and becoming a professional forensic anthropologist. But things changed when it was revealed that he was working as the apprentice of Gormogon, the cannibalistic serial killer who brought terror upon the Jeffersonian gang for an entire season. The question is: Is there still room for Zach Addy to return other than in flashbacks? And will his present-day storyline ever be resolved?  Read more »
It‘s been 55 days since we last saw a new episode of Bones, and I for one would just like to congratulate all of you on making it this long.  I mean, really, no Booth and Bones or the Squints since February 4?  Yeah, definitely not a fan. But alas.  All the waiting finally came to an end last night as Bones aired its first new episode in what felt like forever, "The Bones on a Blue Line."  And, I just have to say, I loved this episode!  It was a very satisfying blend of humor, romance, and sadness, and I think it was a very nice set-up for the momentous 100th episode airing on April 8 (6 days and counting, my friends).  Interview: David Boreanaz discusses the 100th episode and more  Read more »

Last night‘s episode, "The Devil in the Details," was the winter finale of Bones, and we now have about an eight week hiatus until the show returns on April 1 with "The Bones on the Blue Line." A painfully long amount of time, yes, believe me, I know, but we can do it!   I have to say that compared to last week‘s episode, "The Dentist in the Ditch," this episode was awesome!  I really loved the flames that were used to transition from scene to scene, I loved the music, and most importantly, I loved the case.  I mean, yes, there were some freaky people in this episode and, in general, insane asylums just tend to freak me out, but overall, I thought this episode was really well done.   Read more »
So don‘t hate me for saying this, but last night‘s episode, "The Dentist in the Ditch" was definitely not my favorite Bones episode by any means.  Compared to last week‘s episode, "The Proof in the Pudding" it just didn‘t compare, and I have to admit that I really was just not very fascinated by this case.  But hey, maybe that‘s just me.  What did you think of this episode?  Leave a comment below!   Anyway, in this episode, a body is found in a ditch by two men during a Civil War reenactment.  When it is taken back to the lab, Dr. Brennan is able to deduce that it was not a Civil War casualty; however, she is frustrated because the bones are encased in clay, and there is no easy way to get them out to learn more about what happened to the murder victim without damaging them.  Yet, after some progress made by returning intern Mr. Nigel Murray, Dr. Brennan is able to identify certain occupational markers on the victim‘s body, leading her to believe that he was a dentist.  Wasn‘t Vincent hilarious in his attempt to be praised by Dr. Brennan?   Read more »
After last week‘s big pregnancy bomb, Bones will reveal yet another startling news as Booth‘s brother, Jared, (guest star Brendan Fehr) returns from his travels in the 13th episode of the fifth season entitled "The Dentist in the Ditch." Meanwhile, this week‘s case alone already involves a lot of surprises. Read more »
Oh, my friends, I just cannot tell you how much I enjoyed last night‘s  Bones episode, "The Proof in the Pudding." Now, the case wasn‘t exactly the usual case we see every episode, and we didn‘t get to see Booth and Bones go out of the lab to interrogate several people, but I think this episode would be a hard one for people not to like. Don‘t get me wrong, yes, I love all of the crazy cases that Booth and Bones and the rest of the Squints solve, but I just love the relationships between all of the characters and their personal storylines a little bit more.  I mean, come on, how cute was everyone last night?     Read more »

Well, my friends, I‘d like to congratulate you on surviving 35 days without a new Bones episode.  I know it must have been hard, but hey, a little perseverance can go a long way.  Well, that, and, for me, re-watching all of the Bones seasons over the holidays.  Please don‘t judge! So Booth and Bones were back last night in the all-new episode called "The X in the File." Personally, I really enjoyed this episode.  I have to admit, though, that I wasn‘t exactly sure how the whole alien thing was gonna play out.  I mean, Brennan and aliens?  Yeah, those are two things that definitely don‘t go together.  However, I was pleasantly surprised, and I think the whole Bones crew did a great job with it.     Read more »

Was Nicole Bessette, our Bones Fan Columnist, recaps "The Goop on the Girl". If you‘re interested in becoming a Fan Columnist click here. This week‘s Christmas episode of Bones,  "The Goop on the Girl," in a way, wasn‘t really what I was expecting given the promo. But I do think that there were several sweet moments in this episode.  I guess I just thought that there would be more Booth and Bones moments than there were, and, of course, I was really hoping we might even get to see a real kiss.  If you can‘t already tell, my friends, I will never be truly happy until I see those two together.   But anyway, this episode starts out with a bang, and I mean that literally as a man dressed as Santa who attempts to rob a bank gets blown up.  Since Booth was only two blocks away while the robbery was in progress, he arrived to apprehend the suspect just as he was walking out of the door.  Unfortunately for Booth, however, this man had a bomb strapped to his chest, and it was detonated right after he said, "I just answered the call."  Rather odd statement, don‘t you think?    Read more »

Was Nicole Bessette, our Bones Fan Columnist, a fan of the Avatar tie-in? Find out below. If you‘re interested in becoming a Fan Columnist click here. So, I know that some of you Bones fans were not happy with the recent Avatar tie-in in the latest episode, "The Gamer in the Grease," and I must admit that I am with you on this one.  If you don‘t already know, I practically live for quality Booth and Bones moments, and, in my mind, this tie-in kept me from seeing that.  I mean, sure, we saw some hilarious Sweets, Fisher, and Hodgins moments, but I am sorry to say that that just did not make up for my weekly Booth and Bones time. Yet, aside from that, I really felt that this tie-in detracted from the plot.  While watching the episode, I felt that it was just kind of thrown in and it didn‘t really flow.  But maybe that‘s just me.  What do you think?  Do you think the tie-in felt forced?  Leave a comment below!   Read more »

It sure has seemed like forever since there was a new Bones episode on- 14 days to be exact, but, I mean, who‘s counting?  So, like all of you, I was really excited to see this new episode, "The Gamer in the Grease," but I must admit that I was terribly disappointed by it.  The major reason why?  Well, no super cute Booth and Bones moments, of course.   But, I guess I do have to give this episode some props.  It definitely gets my vote for the most disgusting body found yet.  Just how disgusting is it, you might ask?  Well, basically, a body is found in a tank of grease, and when Booth and Bones go to fish it out, the skin falls off and the internal organs fall out.  I mean, you could say that it has decomposed just a bit.   Read more »

Nicole Bessette, our Bones Fan Columnist, recaps "The Foot and the Foreclosure." If you‘re interested in becoming a Fan Columnist click here. Alright, so I‘m just gonna come out and say it: this week‘s murder was really weird.  I mean, don‘t get me wrong, the promo with Booth and Bones finding a pile of ash and a human foot as the only remains of their murder victim sounded pretty cool, but the story behind it was a rather strange one if I do say so myself.   So basically, a real estate agent finds human remains on the bed in the master bedroom of a house she is trying to sell to some prospective buyers.  When the FBI is contacted and Booth and Bones show up, Bones is completely shocked at what she finds.  There is nothing but a large pile of ash and a woman‘s foot on the bed, leading Booth to believe that the cause of death was spontaneous combustion.  Oh, you gotta love him.   Read more »
This week on Bones, Booth and Brennan attempt to solve a challenging murder case with family in town. "The Foot in the Foreclosure," the eighth episode of the fifth season, introduces us to Booth‘s grandfather Hank, portrayed by Days of our Lives star Ralph Waite, which only means we‘ll getting more scoop and dirt on Booth‘s backstory.  Read more »
Nicole Bessette, our Bones Fan Columnist, recaps last night‘s episode. If you‘re interested in becoming a Fan Columnist click here. I am totally still reeling from last night‘s Bones.  I mean, sure, the murder was just kind of so-so, but man, the Booth and Bones stuff was amazing.  All I have to say is thank goodness for Sweets and Gordon Gordon.  At least they can see that Booth and Bones are totally meant to be together.   In this particular episode, "The Dwarf in the Dirt," we go back to a lot of stuff that was brought up in the season premiere.  Specifically, back to the after-effects of Booth‘s coma dream and his newfound love for Dr. Brennan.  And, of course, we get a lovely guest appearance from Stephen Fry, Chef Gordon Gordon Wyatt.  Turns out he hung up his psychiatry profession and traded it in for a fancy coat and oven mitts...who would‘ve thought it?    Read more »
Nicole Bessette, our Bones Fan Columnist, is a big fan of Stephen Fry on Bones. If you‘re interested in becoming a Fan Columnist click here. I don‘t know about you, but I just thoroughly enjoy every guest appearance from the lovely Stephen Fry on Bones.  Considering this man‘s incredibly impressive filmography, it is truly an honor to have him on the show, and I must say that I think it is one of his best roles yet.  And yes, I know I‘m a bit biased.   But you must admit that the character of Dr. Gordon Wyatt is simply wonderful.  I mean, who else could help Booth realize his feelings for Dr. Brennan or help him understand why he shot a clown off of the top of an ice cream truck?  He is probably the person Booth trusts most after Bones, of course, and this makes him an invaluable addition to every episode he‘s in.    Read more »
What would be better than seeing Stephen Fry reprise his role as Dr. Gordon Wyatt on Bones? Seeing Booth in a wrestling ring trying to tackle a midget! Yes, you heard me right. Booth comes to blows with a little person tonight in "The Dwarf in the Dirt," the seventh episode of Bones‘ fifth season. The case this week is about the discovery of the remains of a little person in a sinkhole. In due course, we learn that the victim‘s name is Bryce DaFonte, also known as "The Iron Leprechaun," who competed in a popular wrestling league. However, the popularity of the franchise has left him with many enemies, including bitter competitors and scorned lovers, any of whom could have caused his downfall. Read more »
NicoleBessette, our Bones Fan Columnist, brings us some Bones news about future episode details. So warning! Possible spoilers below. If you‘re interested in becoming a Fan Columnist click here. So we all know that Booth and Bones both had difficult childhoods, and it‘s probably one of the reasons why they work so well together.  Well, that and their obvious sexual tension.  But there is still no doubt that we know way more about Bones‘ family than Booth‘s.  So, when are we going to find out more about the Booth‘s?    Read more »
NicoleBessette, our Bones Fan Columnist, Recaps "The Tough Man in the Tender Chicken". We look forward to her weekly show recaps and thoughts. If you‘re interested in becoming a Fan Columnist click here. I think I speak for all of us when I say that I was completely ecstatic that Bones returned last night.  And might I just say, I really enjoyed this episode.  Pigs, chickens, thumbs in chicken nuggets, fights, and relationships discovered. Yup, sounds like another day at the Jeffersonian. In "The Tough Man in the Tender Chicken," a body is discovered along the banks of the Savage River.  Thanks to the Woodchucks, a group of "scientific girl scouts" who absolutely idolize Dr. Brennan, the body was delivered to the Jeffersonian along with water samples, digital photographs of the area, soil samples, and even plants and insects.  Looks like these girls really knew their stuff.  Read more »
Tonight on Bones, we get a little bit of comedy as the Jeffersonian team is brought in on a case that seemingly delves into pure science fiction. We‘re sure it‘s nothing that Booth and Bones can‘t handle but solving the case proves to be a little messy."The Tough Man in the Tender Chicken," the sixth episode of Bones‘ fifth season, explores the mystery behind the mutilated remains of a local chicken farmer discovered on the bank of a nearby river. The twist: He‘s half-man and half chicken! Read more »
BuddyTV would like tointroduce Nicole Bessette, our first Bones Fan Columnist. We look forward toher weekly show recaps and thoughts.A 3,000 year old mummy, the returnof Daisy, and a date between Bones and Booth‘s boss?  Yep, that‘s what youcan expect from "A Night at the Bones Museum."  In this episode, Booth and Bones andthe rest of the Jeffersonian team find themselves face to face with an Egyptianmummy.  After finding the mummy hanging on an electric fence covered infresh blood, the gang takes the mummy back to the Jeffersonian to investigate, aided by a familiar face, Sweets‘ unique girlfriend, Daisy.  Consideringit a personal favor, Sweets gets Dr. Brennan to reluctantly agree to give Daisya 24-hour probationary period as an intern, despite her "impulse control issues." Read more »
Another case awaits Brennan and Booth tonight on Bones and this time, it could change history. "A Night at the Bones Museum," the fifth episode of the FOX drama‘s fifth season, is all about be a mummified Egyptian royal and an anthropological mystery that has Brennan in a tizzy.  Read more »
Bones returns tonight with a brand new case involving a seemingly perfect neighborhood. It also looks like the show will also focus on more character development as it puts the spotlight on Booth and Jeffersonian intern Arastoo. When we last saw Bones, we got a glimpse of the conservative Amish life and witnessed Cam (Tamara Taylor) as she faced the challenges of becoming a mother to adopted daughter Michelle, who was getting pretty intimate with her boyfriend. It was a good thing that Booth was stepped up to play the protective uncle. Read more »
After a leaky pipe, some money issues and a few sweet moments, Bones returns for its third episode this season to explore another case, and perhaps to tickle our imagination with yet another Booth and Brennan moment. Tonight Booth and Brennan go back in time to investigate the murder of a musical prodigy. No, it‘s not one of those flashback specials but "The Plain in the Prodigy" does take our dynamic duo to a place where tradition and simple living are of importance. Read more »
Booth saying the L word to Brennan may be the best season appetizer in the history of Bones so it‘s going to be hard to top last week‘s premiere but it looks like the second episode of the fifth season is just as promising. And judging from the promo trailer, we‘ll find Booth and Brennan dealing with a body, a gun and a silver car as they investigate a new case, which gets even more interesting as the show takes on a James Bond twist. Read more »
Sometimes, it takes a dead body, a bunch of creepy cats and a leaky water pipe to bring two people closer. Last night‘s episode of Bones didn‘t have the same intensity as the season opener but it did have a complicated murder mystery and several moments that probably satisfied your appetite for some Booth and Brennan closeness. So what‘s the juiciest part? Evidently Booth lost his home improvement skills while in a coma so he doesn‘t know how to fix his leaky pipe. Too bad because he can‘t afford to fix it either. Brennan, who got a fat check, not to mention a Rolex, from her publisher, offers to pay for the pipe‘s $800 repair but Booth, as you would have thought, doesn‘t want to take her money. And it all leads to Booth dwelling on the fact that Brennan makes more money than he does.  Read more »
The wait is finally over, Bones fans! The FOX procedural returns tonight for its highly anticipated fifth season, picking up six weeks after Booth and Brennan last saw each other. While Booth has been recovering from brain surgery, Brennan has been on a dig in Guatemala. Will it be a happy reunion? We find out tonight in the episode called "Harbingers in the Fountain." Read more »
It doesn‘t take a genius to know that Brennan is meant to be with Booth though it does take a psych, specifically one that‘s named Avalon, to make Brennan realize that. Well, sort of. At least Brennan now knows that she‘s capable of being loved, right? Bones kicks off its fifth season with a satisfying premiere that leaves the door open for a lot of possibilities. The case, as mentioned in my preview article, revolves around a mass grave located under a fountain--- as predicted by Angela‘s psychic Avalon (Cyndi Lauper), who naturally becomes the main suspect for being the person who leads them to 12 bodies. As it turns out, however, a former cult leader is to blame for the murders.  Read more »
Bones came back with a vengeance last week, considering last season‘s finale which left a lot of fans somewhat disappointed for not living up to its promise that Booth and Brennan will finally do the deed, and it looks like the fifth season is all about toying with their emotions and how they feel about each other now that Booth said the L word, albeit jokingly. Read more »
In light of the analysis of the character relationships in Brennan‘s new book, Bone of Contention, in the latest episode of Bones, "The Bones on a Blue Line," I thought it would be fun to reflect on what the show itself would be like without the amazing relationships between the characters.Imagine if you will a Bones based solely on the cases. Somewhat painful isn‘t it?  Now, imagine our beloved crime drama as a documentary. Yes, you read that right. Turns out, before Bones ever came to fruition, producer Barry Josephson bought the rights to a series of Kathy Reichs‘ novels and was planning to produce a documentary on her.   Read more »
By now you‘re probably counting the hours leading to the 100th episode of Bones with high expectations and I don‘t blame you. FOX has heavily promoted the milestone installment with photos, clips and teasers while the cast and crew have granted several interviews that could only imply that "The Parts in the Sum of the Whole" is nothing short of special. But I‘m here to tell you not to raise the bar too high because while the episode offers a big leap in the "will they, won‘t they" premise of the show, the last scene will ultimately split fans. Click here to find out why.Spoiler Warning: Details about the 100th episode are revealed after the jump. Read more »
Ever wondered how Booth and Brennan met? It‘s obvious that their chemistry right now is off the roof, but what about when they first worked together six years ago? These questions will finally be answered in "The Parts in the Sum of the Whole," the 100th episode of Bones, which is directed by lead star David Boreanaz and marks the much-awaited return of Eric Millegan as Zack Addy.Which Bones Lab Assistant Are You? Read more »
OK , so I am totally still reeling from last night‘s completely amazing 100th episode of Bones, "The Parts in the Sum of the Whole."  As much as the wait killed me, I have to say that it was definitely worth it.  Hands down, my favorite Bones episode to date!  As I‘m sure you all knew, this episode was a flashback episode about Booth and Bones‘ first case they ever worked on together.  Fabulously directed by the incredible David Boreanaz, the episode featured the return of Eric Millegan as Zack Addy and Patricia Belcher as Caroline Julian, two faces we haven‘t seen in a very long time.  See more photos from this episode  Read more »
So it seems that most everyone, including myself, is still in a major panic regarding the end of the 100th episode of Bones, "The Parts in the Sum of the Whole." Yes, Brennan turned down Booth‘s offer to give their relationship another shot, but this doesn‘t mean that this is the end. In fact, it‘s really the beginning.  Let‘s think about it this way. Before this episode, Brennan and Booth had never even talked about the possibility that they could have a relationship. I mean, episode after episode it was longing glance after longing glance and cute moment after cute moment, but nothing was ever really concrete.     Read more »
Those of you who have completely given up on Booth and Brennan‘s romance after watching the 100th episode of Bones may just find a glimmer of hope in this week‘s episode entitled "The Death of the Queen Bee." Tonight, Brennan and Booth go undercover as a married couple when they head to Brennan‘s alma mater to investigate a murder case. Read more »
Last night‘s episode of Bones, "The Death of the Queen Bee," centered on a murder at Brennan‘s old high school, Burtonsville High, prompting her to return to the place that gave her so many unpleasant memories and reunite with all of the people she tried so desperately to forget.  Although I‘m still completely hung up on that pivotal 100th episode from last week, I do have to say that this was still a very good episode. The music was great, and I really don‘t think anyone can play creepy better than Robert Englund. I mean, it‘s Freddy Kruger himself ladies and gentlemen. Someone needs to give that guy a pat on the back because he creeped me out the entire episode.   Read more »
While re-watching the most recent episode of Bones, "The Death of the Queen Bee," it occurred to me that there were a lot of key moments and significant clues hidden in the episode that I missed while watching it the first time around. Shocking, right? I know. I too am a little disappointed in myself. Yet, I suppose I must give props to the brilliant writers of the show.  They are always keeping us on our toes, and, although we are all desperately asking for spoilers from people like Hart Hanson and Stephen Nathan, I believe that all the answers we need lie in the episodes themselves.      Read more »
Every TV series has a couple you‘re secretly rooting for to hook up, though more often than not it takes several months or even years before they actually get together. But when they do share that first kiss, it gives you all the more reason to look forward to their budding romance, whether it happens in the heat of an argument or simply because someone was standing under the mistletoe. Read more »
A pool of uncertainties revolves around tonight‘s Bones episode. For one thing, Booth and Brennan have seemingly moved on to new love interests, making their future look even cloudier. Then there‘s also this week‘s case, a fishy murder that exposes everyone at the aquarium as suspects. Read more »
Last night‘s episode of Bones, "The Predator in the Pool" was one of the funniest episodes I‘ve seen in a long time.  I mean, Brennan thinking the Rat Pack is actually a group of rodents, Booth constantly backing up into things, and Hacker‘s general awkwardness?  Yes, good stuff. I just loved everything about this episode, right on down to the music.  I thought the case was very good, but, what‘s more, the character stuff in this episode was outstanding.  Props to the Bones writers for another great episode.  Here‘s to several more!   Read more »
The most recent episode of Bones, "The Predator in the Pool" introduced us to a new character, Dr. Catherine Bryar of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.  Played by Rena Sofer, Dr. Bryar is a new love interest for Booth.   I guess we all knew it was coming sooner or later, right?  Booth said he had to move on when Brennan turned him down in the 100th episode, and in "The Death of the Queen Bee," he told Sweets he already had a date planned.  I‘m still not sure if he was lying or not, but, you get my point.  The 100th episode brought one of TVs most anticipated kisses  Read more »
Are you ready to rock, Bones fans? Well, you should be because tonight‘s episode is all about music. This week‘s case brings Brennan and Booth to a Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp--the last place where a rich adventure-seeker was spotted before his body is found in a hotel laundry machine. More interestingly, we find out that the victim was beaten to death with a guitar but that‘s nothing compared to what Angela and intern Arastoo find out in the lab. Read more »
For those of you who pretty much hated last week‘s episode of Bones "The Predator in the Pool", I would think that last night‘s episode, "The Rocker in the Rinse Cycle" totally made up for that.  What with Rock-n-Roll, new love interests, and bouts of recurring jealousy, who couldn‘t like this episode?  I mean, seriously.  There was so much good stuff packed into this episode that it‘s going to be hard to mention it all.  So, please forgive me if I don‘t, but I‘ll definitely be sure to hit the highlights.  Up first?  The case, of course!  Read more »
On last week‘s episode of Bones, "The Rocker in the Rinse Cycle," we saw a lot of things.  We saw an incredibly jealous Dr. Brennan, some sparks between Angela and Hodgins, and the introduction of Cam‘s new man, Dr. Paul Linder.    Considering I‘ve already talked about Brennan‘s jealousy and the overwhelming probability of Hodgins and Angela reuniting, I feel it is now time to take a more in-depth look at Cam‘s new love interest.   Read more »
Witchcraft appears to be the subject of tonight‘s episode of Bones as Booth and Brenna investigate a case that sends them into the world of Wicca in attempt to find a killer. But that‘s not the only spellbinding thing in "The Witch in the Wardrobe" because we also find out if there‘s still magic between Angela and Hodgins. Read more »
First things first, I must congratulate Kathy Reichs for a job well done with last night‘s episode of Bones, "The Witch in the Wardrobe."  I don‘t know about you, but I thoroughly enjoyed it, and I hope we get more episodes from her in the future.  Now, before I continue, I must urge you to go and watch this episode, if you haven‘t already, before you read this.  There were definitely some spoiler moments in it that I don‘t want to give away, so, while those of you who haven‘t seen the episode watch it, I‘ll go ahead and recap the case for the rest of us.  Everyone ready?  Alright, break!   Read more »
It finally happened!  On last week‘s episode of Bones, "The Witch in the Wardrobe," Angela and Hodgins tied the knot in jail of all places.  A little different from the pretty church we saw in the Season 2 finale, but, hey, we‘ll take it, right?  Besides, it totally seemed to fit them.    I‘m pretty sure I speak for all of us when I say that it‘s about time.  These two got so close to their happy ending at the end of Season 2 and then on into Season 3, but things just never seemed to work out for them.   Read more »

Last week‘s episode of Bones, "The Boy with the Answer," gave us long-awaited justice for the Gravedigger.  Payback, if you will.  After a long and grueling trial, the jury found her guilty on all counts.  I, for one, was ecstatic, as I‘m sure you all were too.  And, of course, Booth and the rest of the Squints were able to breathe a sigh of relief after continuously being put through the wringer emotionally the entire episode.   Read more »

I know this is two days later than when I said I was going to post this article, but I figured, since we don‘t have a new episode of Bones this week and have a long wait ahead of us until this summer hiatus is over, that this would maybe cheer some of you up.  So, I was thinking I‘d take this time to talk more in-depth about the Season 5 finale, "The Beginning in the End."  Now, just to clarify, when I say talk more in-depth about the finale, I basically mean the last five minutes of it.  Read more »
