Articles for Bones Season 2

‘Bones’ is a mystery/thriller, telling the story of a series of case files, solved weekly, by an unlikely alliance between Dr. Temperance Brennan‘s (Emily Deschanel ) forensic anthropology team at the Jeffersonian Institute (a thinly veiled Smithsonian Institution) and the FBI.Dr. Brennan‘s team brings scientific expertise (and an outsider perspective) to the world of criminal investigation, while Agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) brings human intuition, expertise, and "people skills" to the table. The result is an often strained relation (the two sides don‘t always understand one another), but the results are better than either side of the team could accomplish on their own.Fans of the Brennan books have expressed their dismay that the character in the series only shares the name with the character in the books, and none of their life histories or characteristics match. In an ironic reversal, the on-screen Temperance Brennan moonlights as an author, writing about the adventures of a fictional forensic anthropologist named Kathy Reichs. Read more »
BonesWhen I first heard the title, I was excited for what would surely be network television‘s very first drama about the sketchy world of underground domino playing. Sadly, this was not the case. Bones is a quirky crime procedural that sees an FBI agent (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer‘sâ€? In line with the recent shootings at Virginia Tech on Monday, April 16, Fox network has decided to pull a new episode of Bones out of the Wednesday lineup. Fox was apprehensive about its timely and coincidental plot line, which featured the exploration of human remains on a college campus. According to CNN, the Virginia Tech shootings left 33 people dead, and many injured, making it the deadliest mass shooting in modern United States history. FOX is not taking a gamble in the wake of such a sensitive issue. A representative from the network told E! News, “Out of sensitivity to the victims and families touched by this senseless tragedy, we felt the change was appropriate.” Read more »
