At the end of the first season of MTV‘s high school hit Awkward band geek player Ricky finally hooked up with Tamara. But this is a teen soap and thus the waters of true love aren‘t always smooth. The sailing is a lot smoother for Matthew Fahey than the character he plays. With his role on Awkward and two movies at Sundance, he‘s been having a very good year. Molly Tarlov isn‘t a mean girl, but she sure plays one on TV. As school bully Sadie on MTV‘s hit high school comedy Awkward, Tarlov has become an expert at the harsh one-liner. This season will we see a softer side of Jenna‘s number one nemesis? Probably not much softer, but Tarlov assures us we‘ll be seeing more sides to Sadie‘s personality in the show‘s second season. This includes more screentime with friend and crush Matty and even a real bona fide relationship for the girl with the tough as nails exterior. MTV is doubling down on scripted television once again. Following a super-sized season 3 order for its hits drama Teen Wolf, the network is doing the same thing with the comedy Awkward. The show, currently in its second season, has been renewed for a 20-episode season 3.  Read more »
Life has been a little bit Awkward for Lacey Hamilton this season on MTV‘s hit teen drama. After it was discovered Lacey wrote the "carefrontation" letter, husband Kevin left and things have been chilly with daughter Jenna. Then there‘s the old flame who recently made a new appearance at her best friend‘s wedding. This has made for a rough road for Lacey, but a great emotional arc for talented actress Nikki DeLoach.
