Americas Next Top Model contestant, Brittany, aka ShaRaun, certainly made a strong impression on last nights cycle 11 premiere. Too strong. She walked into the competition, acting like she already had it in the bag - an attitude the rubbed the judges the wrong way. When she didnt take a strong enough photo and it landed her in the bottom two, her arrogance became her undoing and she was the first model sent home. Today, ShaRaun spoke to BuddyTV in an exclusive interview, saying that she wasnt arrogant at all and the judges had it all wrong. Read on and decide for yourself what you think about her.Below, you will find the complete transcript and mp3 of the interview.

Americas Next Top Model returns tonight with a special 2 hour premiere episode. Sure, I want to know who makes the final cut in tonights semi-final round but I have more pressing questions that I need answered like what the heck is up with Miss J. and Mister Jays hair this cycle? Are they not supposed to be experts in fashion? If you havent seen the coifs yet, then just wait a few minutes and youll see what Im talking about! Tonight, the girls will attend Top Model Institute and theyll have to pass a few tests before they can make it into the actual competition. Ill be here for the next 2 hours, updating live through the episode. Tune in, keep refreshing, and post your thoughts, too!

Americas Next Top Model is back for Cycle 11, and with it, my favorite part of the show: the photo shoots. Sure, a fierce runway walk is fantastic, and good presence will cut through a lot of criticism at panel, but personally, Im a sucker for a great photograph. I can overlook a bad personality, a lack of magnetism, and general un-Cover-Girl-ness for the girl who can nail that high fashion look in front of the camera. This week, we had our first chance to see what this newest batch of modelettes can do, and I must admit, there were some surprises in the bunch. Most of the time, this column will just focus on the Best and the Worst, but for this first time, lets take a look at all of our new girls as we started to get a sense of their potential.

On tonights episode of Americas Next Top Model, the girls met up with posing expert Benny Ninja to work on some moves that should be able to help them during this competition. He brought along a model and contortionist to help give them some inspiration. For their challenge, the models posed with purses in interesting ways in order to impress Benny. Elina ended up winning the challenge but it didnt seem like she received any sort of prize. At this weeks photo shoot, the girls posed on a rope ladder which was supposed to hang from a hot air balloon. Due to weather conditions, the ladder had to be hung from a crane instead. Read on to find out who did well and who was sent him this week on Top Model.

I am finding myself pleasantly surprised by Cycle 11 of Americas Next Top Model. For one thing, I think this is one of the overall stronger group of girls that we have seen recently, and its nice to see a batch that has several girls who actually look like real models as opposed to just pretty girls who will make for good Americas Next Top Model drama. This week, Im going to once again run through the whole group, because there was a lot to look at in this set of photos.

After making it through Top Model Institute, 14 girls moved on to compete this season on Americas Next Top Model. Tyras standards are high this season and she immediately unloaded Shauran last week, for having a giant ego and not delivering enough in her pictures. Tonight brings the return of posing expert (and guy who creeps me out) Benny Ninja to teach the girls about the art of posing. The models will also use a rope swing for this weeks photo shoot. Sheena decides that she cant continue in the competition until she tells the judges something important and I cant wait to find out what it is. Ill be here all hour, updating live, so keep refreshing and post your thoughts, too!

Last week on Americas Next Top Model, we met the modelettes of Cycle 11, and it was not as disappointing as I had been anticipating. We seem to have an interesting group of girls who might both bring the drama and maybe even do some good modeling.Nevertheless, every week one of them has to go home, so based on what we saw in the first episode, who could be in the chopping block to follow Sharaun home from Americas Next Top Model? (There are spoilers galore floating around the internet right now, but I havent been following them, so Im making these guesses just from what weve actually seen.)

Nikeysha may not have spent a lot of time on Americas Next Top Model, but she certainly made an impression. The aspiring model landed in the bottom two twice in a row and this week proved to be her last in the competition. Tyra and the rest of the judges felt that her pictures werent strong, she didnt take critcism well, and she was too thin. Today, Nikeysha spoke to BuddyTV in an exclusive interview, responding to the judges and sounding off on her fellow competitors, like Hannah and Isis. It seems Nikeysha is still being Nikeysha - always saying what she thinks, whether people like it or not!Below, you will find the complete transcript and mp3 of the interview.

This season, Americas Next Top Model raised a few eyebrows when Tyra Banks cast trangendered model Isis on the show. She first discovered the aspiring model last season when she participated in a photo shoot raising awareness about homeless youth in America. Isis was in the background for the shoot but made enough of an impression on Tyra that she tracked her down to be part of cycle 11. The fact that Isis joined the show certainly gave Top Model some extra press and attention leading up to the season premiere. Not all of it was positive feedback and not everybody was ready for a transgendered model, especially Isiss fellow competitors.

Last week on Americas Next Top Model, Isis, who started out with a strong photograph, didnt live up to the bar she set for herself and her second photo was a flop. Lauren Brie, who delivered a mediocre performance in the first major shoot, wowed everyone with her stellar high fashion shot.So its still early enough in Cycle 11 of Americas Next Top Model that we dont quite yet know each modelettes full potential - or weaknesses, but here are some guesses as to what might happen on this weeks episode.

There doesnt seem to be an Americas Next Top Model fan out there who doesnt have a strong opinion about Isis. I get that it seems that the focus so far this season lies heavily on her, but thats partially because it is so early. We havent really gotten to know any of the contestants but Isis has already made a huge impression, by being the first transgendered model to make the final cut. Also, the show has centered a storyline about her in every episode since the season premiere a few weeks ago. With several BuddyTV articles written about Isis, and the controversy over her being in the competition or the controversy over the way shes been treated thus far, the readers have sounded off and made their opinion known. The feedback is almost 100% positive towards Isis - it seems our readers are accepting, forward thinkers!

Americas Next Top Model contestant Brittany does not want to be just another pretty face. What exactly she wants to be instead is unclear. On last nights episode, Brittany landed in the bottom two, along with Analeigh, after a sexy swimsuit photo shoot. Tyra felt that Brittany was unable to connect with the camera and sent her packing. Today, Brittany talked to BuddyTV in an exclusive interview, dishing on her fight with Elina, her thoughts on Isis, and exactly what she hopes to do in the fashion world now that her time on Top Model is over.Below, you will find the complete transcript and mp3 of the interview.

Back in the day, when Tyra Banks was at the top of her modeling career, no one had any idea just how zany she could be. With 11 cycles of America’s Next Top Model, and the birth of her talk show, America has gotten to know Tyra maybe a little bit more than they wanted to. On her talk show, Tyra has done everything from stripping down to a bathing suit and slapping her butt to pretending to be a small child asking her parents about sex for the first time. Her antics on America’s Next Top Model have gotten wackier and wackier over the years. Is Tyras behavior entertaining or slowly ruining the image of a former supermodel?

This week on Cycle 11 of Americas Next Top Model, the girls got their makeovers! There were the requisite tears, but overall, this seemed to be pretty gung-ho group who were eager for a new look. They then had the chance to put those new looks to the test with a bikini photo shoot with photographer Russell James. Some girls worked their new looks to their best advantage, while others just coasted. Who were the best and worst this week?

Tonights episode of Americas Next Top Model was the ever popular makeover episode. Things got started when the girls found Tyra Banks sitting in their living room, dressed as a princess. She told the girls a story of when she was a young model. Someone in the industry told her and her mother that she should lose 15 pounds and Tyras mom said, "Screw that. Lets get a pizza!" Instead of going down the high fashion route, Tyra took a different road and became a superstar thanks to Victorias Secret and Sports Illustrated. Dont ask what this story had to do with makeovers, but after Miss Jay came out dressed like a witch and Mr. Jay, dressed as Prince Couture saved her, the girls found out they were getting new looks. Only Tyra could deliver that news in such a weird way.

Lets hope that, starting tonight, on Americas Next Top Model, the girls find something else to talk about besides Isis. Its only the fifth episode and already, Ive heard every ignorant comment there is about her. Perhaps if some of them would focus more on modeling than gossiping, they wouldnt find themselves close to the bottom each week. Tonight, the girls get their first opportunity to walk the runway, but theyll have to do it blindfolded. When they do their photo shoot, theyll have to pose with their eyes. What this has to do with anything, I dont know, but Im hoping that a model falls or crashes into someone. With fingers crossed, Ill be here for the entire hour updating live. Last week on Cycle 11 of Americas Next Top Model, we saw transgendered contestant Isis continue to slip from her strong start, Samantha emerge from her makeover with an edgy cut and a new attitude that landed her a great photo, and pretty Brittany getting sent home. We still have a lot of modelettes on the playing field, and as both Lauren Brie and Samantha have reminded me, mediocre performance one week early on is not necessarily an indicator that an awesome shot is out of the question. However, with a few more shoots under our belts, who seems to be trending down on Americas Next Top Model?

On tonights episode of Americas Next Top Model, Clark and a few other girls in the house banded together to say that they hoped Isis would be the one to get eliminated. No worries because tonight was a double elimination so two models are headed home. Between blind runway competitions and using only their eyes for their photo shoot, the models were definitely challenged tonight. The photo shoot for this weeks episode of Americas Next Top Model made me slightly suspicious. After last weeks shoot, it seemed patently obvious that the lower half of Clarks face was simply not going to ever photograph like a model. Then this week, the shoot conveniently covers it. Clark has seemed to have some good drama potential, so I cant help but raise an eyebrow at the timing which keeps her in the competition another week.Well, regardless of why the shoot was structured how it was, we have to make some picks, so here are this weeks picks for Best and Worst photos on Americas Next Top Model.

There isnt a fan of Americas Next Top Model out there that wont soon forget cycle 11 contestant Isis. As the first transgendered model to become a finalist on the show, she may have raised eyebrows but proved why she deserved to be there during her first photo shoot. Her fellow contestants talked about her behind her back but Isis never let anything anybody said get to her. Over the weeks, though, her performance seemed to get worse and worse and Tyra took notice. On last nights episode, she called Isis "sleepy" and eliminated her from the competition. Today, Isis spoke to BuddyTV in an exclusive interview and explained why she got weaker as the photo shoots went on.Below, you will find the complete transcript and mp3 of the interview.

Dont blame Top Models Hannah if shes never interacted with gay, transgendered, or even black people before. Shes just a small town girl from Alaska. In the season premiere, she talked about being chased by moose and not having any highways. She was confronted by several girls in the house this season, who felt that she was racist. Hannah defended herself, saying that she couldnt believe that anyone would ever think that about her. Her biggest eyebrow raising moment came when she pushed Isis away from her in the hot tub. Perhaps bad editing, perhaps a girl who didnt know any better. In any event, in todays exclusive interview with Hannah, she had nothing but praise for Isis. Due to a bad connection, the audio quality from the phone conversation was too poor to post but weve got enough quotes from this controversial model so that you can judge Hannah for yourself.

Im not sure how interesting Americas Next Top Model will be from this point on, with both Hannah and Isis getting eliminated last week. Hannah was always good water cooler talk for her constant naive and closeminded comments, while Isis kept us glued to the tv set, breaking barriers and opening up new doors for the LGBT movement. Oh well, at least Joslyn makes me smile. Tonight, the girls will pose on a set involving natural disasters, from earthquakes to wind storms. Ah, tidal waves were never sexier. Each week on the 11th cycle of America’s Next Top Model, the show has been updating fans on past contestants in a short segment that airs during the commercial breaks. The segment, called “Top Models In Action”, had already let viewers know how Toccara, Shannon, Lisa, Eugena, and Chantal are doing since appearing on the show. Though the former contestants have appeared in various magazines and runway shows, it’s hardly the life of a supermodel. Today on the Tyra Banks Show, a new show within a show was introduced, called Modelville. The lucky models chosen are: Fatima Siad (Cycle 10), Dominque Reighard (Cycle 10), Lauren Utter (Cycle 10), Renee Alway (Cycle 8), and Bianca Golden (Cycle 9). Tyra brought the 5 women on her show today to get updates on their lives since being on the show. Fatima admitted that she has a hard time making ends meet, sometimes not even knowing where her next meal is coming from. Dominique revealed that when she returned home from the show, she found out that her boyfriend had gotten another woman pregnant. Each woman had a story that perhaps held her back from reaching her full potential but Tyra was about to deliver some amazing news to them that could forever change their lives (again).

The last 10 frames were seriously coached by Tyra and in the end, Marjorie won the photo challenge for her signature look, The Hunchback of Notre Dame. No, really!

Much like an Americas Next Top Model contestant, I started out this cycle with some level of enthusiasm for this group of modelettes. They seemed, collectively, kind of modely! But much as Tyra Banks breaks down the modelettes to “build them back up again,” Im feeling a little deflated as we enter the midpoint of this cycle. I mean, I wasnt necessarily a Lauren Brie fan, per se, but to send her home after a couple of ho-hum shots, after shed delivered some of the best Tyra had seen? Well, we cant say she didnt warn us: we think we know Americas Next Top Model, but we dont know. Oh well, one thing I do know is what I thought about the photographs from this episode.
