Articles for 30 Rock Season 4

After three seasons, it‘s the fourth one (duh) and the premiere‘s titled "Season Four."  Surprisingly, redundancy only makes it more humorous and Tina Fey isn‘t showing signs of slowing down with that.  However, they‘re facing the recession and the 30 Rock crew might just need to cut back a bit.  TGS needs a bit of tweaking, and someone gets a makeover in the process.  Uh-oh.On "Season Four" - we mean the episode, not the whole season, Jack (Alec Baldwin) tells the others that they have to save some money since the company has been struck by the recession.  It‘s also a ploy to make TGS more relatable to its audiences, so adjustments need to be made. Read more »

Liz Lemon‘s latest romantic misadventure with Englishman Wesley (played by guest star Michael Sheen) comes to an end in this episode; the two of them continued to bump into each other and Wesley proposed that it was a sign from the universe that the two of them should settle for each other, an idea which Liz firmly rejected.Tracy Jordan‘s topsy-turvy romantic life also faced some heat when a tell-all memoir by one of his family members revealed that his life of philandering was nothing more than a lie, something that seriously harmed his image. After many attempts to bring his image back to promiscuity, he had a heart-to-heart talk with Liz Lemon (after failing to get it on with her first) where he realized that having a loving wife and children is all he really needs.  Read more »
With Steve Carell and Tina Fey, stars of NBC‘s twin comedy staples, coming together for Date Night, it‘s only natural for the idea of a crossover between the two shows (plus Joel McHale‘s Community, maybe) to pop up. But alas, Carell thinks Michael Smith meeting Liz Lemon would ultimate be "cheesy.""Nope," he says, nixing the idea to MTV News. "Usually those cross-pollination things are so cheesy." Read more »
It‘s all about having some fun tonight on 30 Rock, as two episodes will air back to back on NBC. First comes love (sort of), then comes a party, then comes Liz trying so hard to be accepted by everyone that she‘ll do practically anything. Oh, and there‘s Julianne Moore too.Could a 30 Rock and The Office Crossover Be Possible? For the first episode of 30 Rock tonight, we have an epic battle with "Lee Marvin vs. Derek Jeter." But it‘s more of a battle for romance, as Jack (Alec Baldwin) is torn between two ladies.  Read more »
...and yet another NBC duel for late night - but this time, with janitors! After learning that the staff of TGS - her employees - gallivanted weekly in an activity known as Thursday Night Thunder, Liz Lemon grew infuriated and begged for counsel from colleagues such as Jack Donaghy and Tracy Jordan on the matter, wondering if it was a matter of her staff thinking she wasn‘t cool enough to participate.  Check out the best quotes from "Lee Marvin Vs. Derek Jeter"This time around, Tracy Jordan‘s troubles came in the form of his wife, who reprimanded him for not spending enough time with her. In order to administer discipline to the reckless Tracy, Kenneth fitted him with the electric collar that belonged to Tracy‘s equally reckless dog. Despite the fact that Kenneth accidentally left Tracy‘s wife‘s medications in the car, Tracy, finally motivated by the desire to do something for his wife for a change, was able to brave the moderate shock of the electric fence to successfully retrieve the medications for her.   Read more »
...just another day for the TGS gang. This time both Liz Lemon and Jack Donaghy were struggling with their love lives.  Jack attempted to juggle his relationships with Avery Jessup (played by returning guest star Elizabeth Banks), host of the CNBC show Hot Box, and his childhood friend and former flame, Nancy Donovan (played by another returning guest star, Julianne Moore), a Bostonian recently divorced who was visiting Jack in New York City for a few days. He spent romantic time with the both of them on his birthday; however the fate of his love life, and his final decision between the two, remains up in the air. Watch the full episode of "Lee Marvin Vs. This week, the 30 Rock gang felt the love in three forms: a wedding best man rivalry, an impersonator-turned-paramour, and a peacock believed to be the incarnate of a late CEO. In an attempt to resolve a quarrel between Grizz, Dotcom and Tracy Jordan over who would be the best man at Grizz‘s wedding to Feyonce, the woman Dotcom loves (awkward!), Liz Lemon was appointed by Grizz to be the woman of honor at the wedding, eschewing both Dotcom and Tracy as the potential best man. In accepting Grizz‘s offer, Liz signed on to attend what will be her third wedding in one (assumably frenetic) day.   Read more »

Liz Lemon‘s love life (or lack thereof) came under heavy fire in this mother‘s day extravaganza of an episode as her fantasy of wooing her ideal man (whom she refers to specifically as Astronaut Mike Dexter) was panned collectively by the mothers of TGS staffers visiting for the annual holiday. After Liz discovered that her mother, who divulged the nostalgic story to Liz herself, could‘ve married legendary astronaut Buzz Aldrin, Liz immediately saw her Astronaut Mike Dexter fantasy mirrored in this tale of missed romance and, through Jack Donaghy‘s endless web of connections, pegged down Aldrin (guest starring as himself) to talk to him herself. She soon found out that her mother‘s decision not to marry Aldrin was a fortunate idea after all, as Aldrin himself professed (and quite endearingly, might I add) to being a raging alcoholic and adulterer.   Read more »

Liz Lemon and Jack Donaghy‘s romantic crises came to a head in this pre-finale extravaganza of an episode. In an attempt to avoid attending Cerie‘s wedding without a date, Liz dug into her "gentleman rolodex" and had failed encounters with the extraordinarily handsome but incredibly incompetent Dr. Drew Baird (returning guest star Jon Hamm), whose hands were severed in unfortunate accidents brought on by Baird‘s endearing stupidity, as well as Dennis Duffy (played by guest star Dean Winters), who Liz found in the middle of a balloon boy-esque scheme. These miserable encounters forced Liz to accept the date Cerie set her up with - the most recent of her failed boyfriends, the English antithesis of her very being, Wesley. Read more »
