First Look at the 'One Tree Hill' Season 6 Premiere

August 27, 2008

Sophia BushIt's a great time to be a fan of One Tree Hill.  The season 5 DVD set hit stores yesterday and is packed with tons of extras, our recent interview with creator Mark Schwahn uncovered all sorts of interesting tidbits, and, most importantly, season 6 of the series finally kicks off this Monday at 9pm.  While some fans spent their summers wondering who Lucas invited to Las Vegas, I've been busy sweating over whether Dan will survive being mowed over by a speeding car.  The love rectangle is interesting, but I can hardly fret over it while Dan's life hangs in the balance.

Unfortunately for me, the first clip from One Tree Hill's season premiere that's appeared online doesn't address Dan's fate.  It also doesn't reveal who Lucas proposes to, but it does offer a glimpse at some drama Brooke will be dealing with.  Here's a hint: Victoria is involved.

Exclusive Interview: 'One Tree Hill' Creator Mark Schwahn, Part 2

August 25, 2008

Sophia Bush, Mark SchwahnRead part 1 of our interview with Mark Schwahn here.

The relationship between Nathan and Haley certainly had its fair share of problems during the fifth season of One Tree Hill.  Not only did the couple have to survive Nathan's anger at being temporarily wheelchair-bound, but the whole nanny Carrie drama really drove a wedge between them.  When I recently spoke with OTH creator Mark Schwahn about the future of the series, I made sure to ask him if the Scott family would continue to experience turmoil in season 6.  You can read his full answer in the interview below, but it does sound like "Naley" will continue to have their ups and downs when the show returns.

In addition to getting scoop on the Scott family drama, I also talked to Mark about his plans for season 6, what's coming up for Jamie, and what fans can expect from the episode Chad Michael Murray recently scripted.  Read on for the mp3 and complete transcript of the interview.

Exclusive Interview: 'One Tree Hill' Creator Mark Schwahn, Part 1

August 21, 2008

Mark SchwahnThe fifth season of One Tree Hill completely reinvented the series.  Instead of following the characters to college, which is a move that has doomed countless other teen dramas, creator Mark Schwahn decided to jump four years ahead and follow the characters through adulthood.  It was a risky move, but one that ultimately paid off.  To get fans ready for the show's sixth season, which kicks off on September 1, we sat down with Mark to get the scoop on what's coming up for the OTH gang.

For the first part of our two-part interview, we asked Mark questions submitted by BuddyTV readers.  Read on to find out what's in the future for Mouth and Millicent, which familiar faces might return in upcoming episodes, and how Mark expects fans to react to the resolution of last season's romantic cliffhanger.  Check back on Monday for part two of the interview, where we'll get even more scoop on what's coming up in One Tree Hill's sixth season.

Ask 'One Tree Hill' Creator Mark Schwahn a Question

August 19, 2008

Mark Schwahn, Chad Michael MurrayOne Tree Hill finally returns for its sixth season on Monday, September 1.  It's been a long summer of pondering who Lucas invited to Vegas and whether Dan will survive getting mowed down by a car, but all of our questions will soon be answered.  To get viewers ready for the return of the One Tree Hill gang, we've arranged a one on one interview with series creator Mark Schwahn.  We plan to get all of the scoop on the new season, though Schwahn will likely make us wait for the really juicy info.

Do you want to submit a question for the One Tree Hill creator?  Are you dying to know if Jamie's bunny will return, or if we'll ever find out why Lucas was getting drunk with a dog in the season finale?  Sound off in the comments below, then check back on Thursday to read our exclusive interview.  We'll be picking the most interesting questions, so start submitting now!

'One Tree Hill' Season 5 Gag Reel Now Online

August 19, 2008

Sophia Bush, Bethany Joy GaleottiWho doesn't love a good gag reel?  Even though I've watched actors cracking up as they flub their lines on seemingly hundreds of different DVDs, I never tire of seeing my favorite stars act like real people.  There's something about a good gag reel that makes you feel like you're right there on the set watching the magic happen.  It's a bit strange to see someone like Kiefer Sutherland break character as he collapses into giggles while filming 24, but that's what makes it so entertaining.  Gag reels help to remind us that actors are real people, and they make mistakes just like the rest of us.

Season 5 of One Tree Hill comes to DVD on August 26, but the gag reel has already shown up on YouTube.  Read on to check it out.
