Biography

American actress Stacy Haiduk was born on April 24, 1968 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She first gained prominence as a member of the cast of the live-action series Superboy, which was based on the comic book character of the same name. She was the only cast member to remain for the show’s four-year run, playing the role of Lana Lang from 1988 to 1992. After a role in the short-lived series The Round Table, she joined the cast of the science fiction series seaQuest DSV, where she played the role of Katherine Hitch!$#!#, the third-in-command of the seaQuest. She only appeared during the first season; she left before production on the second season could start as she was unhappy with her character’s development.

After seaQuest DSV, Haiduk began appearing in numerous guest roles on television, as well as on films. Her film roles include those for Little City and The Darwin Controversy. She also played guest roles in shows such as Due South, Melrose Place, Nash Bridges, Profiler, Charmed, The X Files, Brimstone and The Sentinel. She also played a role in the short-lived thriller series Kindred: The Embraced.

Haiduk’s more recent television appearances include those for ER, CSI: Miami, NCIS, Crossing Jordan, Cold Case and Burn Notice. She also played a recurring role as an FBI special agent on Heroes; one of the episodes she appeared in is an unaired version of the pilot, which was later released on DVD. In 2007, she joined the cast of the daytime soap All My Children, where she took on the role of businesswoman Hannah Nichols. She was let go from the program in March 2007, but was offered the same role again in September that year. Eventually, she was let go a second time, and her character was killed off in January 2008.
