Biography

Hoping for another shot at fame and sharing her talent, the 42-year-old single mother Stacy Francis captivated the judges of The X Factor during her audition. She was on the road towards a Broadway career, but she got involved with her abusive ex-husband which derailed her dreams. She was already part of the original cast of Footloose and was a member of the group Ex-Girlfriend in the 1990s, but that doesn’t mean she lost any of her skills. Stacy Francis sang “Purple Rain” during the Judges’ Homes tryouts, leading judge Nicole Scherzinger to choose her as one of the Top 17 contestants to participate in the show.

FOX’s The X Factor is a reality competition looking for the next great entertainer. From those who have auditioned, judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, Nicole Scherzinger and L.A. Reid handpick several contestants who might have just what they’re looking for. After a rigorous process, only one will end up with a $4 million recording contract with Epic Records, plus $1 million to spend on their own. The winner will also be starring in their own Pepsi commercial.
