American actor Ryan Eggold was born on August 10, 1984. The Southern Californian native is a graduate of the University of Southern California’s theater program in 2006. He quickly began his acting career, with guest and recurring roles in several television shows. After his debut in an episode of Related, he appeared in shows such as Brothers & Sisters, Veronica Mars, The War at Home, The Young and the Restless, Entourage and Out of Jimmy’s Head.
In 2008, Eggold bagged his first regular television role. He joined the cast of the drama series Dirt, playing rule-bending reporter Farber Kauffman. He appeared in the series in its second and final season. His next regular role came later that year, when he starred in 90210. He played the role of Ryan Matthews, an English literature teacher whose unconventional methods put him at odds with his colleagues, and too close to his students.
Eggold has also appeared in several films. His first was the 2006 short Con: The Corruption of Shawn Helm, where he starred alongside Lauren Bennett. This was followed by another short film, Bloom, which was released two years later.
