Biography

Actress Nicki Michaeux was born in Detroit, Michigan. Though her father is an army officer, she decided to take a different career path. The actress was first seen on several television productions. She was in The Cold Equations and an episode of ER, before moving on to films. Her early acting career was marked by movies like The Replacement Killers, the critically acclaimed Sweet Jane, and Ringmaster, as well as episodes of The Practice and Pacific Blue.

In 2000, she was seen on City of Angels and The Others, before landing a role on an episode of Felicity. She soon had a number of recurring roles, some of them being The Shield and Soul Food. She also became more prominent playing the character of Karla in the HBO series Six Feet Under. Michaeux next made an appearance on the action film The Trial, while appearing on The West Wing as well. In 2003, she landed a part in the comedy With or Without You, and has continued to be cast in several more TV series. She was Andrea Miner in NYPD Blue and Deputy Linda Foyo on JAG. Micheaux was also given the role of Detective Schroeder on an episode of Desperate Housewives, and was cast in the 2006 drama film God’s Waiting List. She soon joined the cast of the ABC Family series Lincoln Heights, as the opinionated Jenn Sutton. Her co-stars include Russell Hornsby who plays her onscreen husband Eddie, Erica Hubbard, Rhyon Nicole Brown and Mishon Ratliff. Nicki Micheaux has also appeared on In Justice and the series Brothers & Sisters. She was cast as Nadia in an episode of Women’s Murder Club and was also in the 2008 drama Rain. The film was written and directed by Maria Govan, and stars Marion Bethel, Renel Brown and Ron Butler.
