Biography

American actress Mackenzie Mauzy was born on October 14, 1988 in Greensboro, North Carolina. Beginning her career at a young age, she first appeared in stage productions in New York, Virginia and North Carolina. She eventually won the Anna Wentworth Award for Best Child Actress in 1998, for her portrayal of the title role in a Virginian production of Annie.

Mauzy began her television career in 2000, when she joined the cast of the daytime soap Guiding Light. She took over, from originator Hayden Panettiere, the role of troubled heiress Lizzie Spaulding. She played the role until 2002. She returned to daytime television in 2006, when she joined the cast of another series, The Bold and the Beautiful. She played the role of Phoebe Forrester, one half of Ridge (Ronn Moss) and Taylor Forrester’s (Hunter Tylo) twins. The younger of the two, she is more emotional than her twin Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood).

Mauzy was relegated to recurring status on B&B in the middle of 2008, as she joined the cast of the Broadway musical A Tale of Two Cities, an adaptation of Charles Dickens’ novel.
