Katie Cleary was born on September 31, 1981. Her mother brought her up in a Chicago suburb, but her father and grandparents lived nearby in order to make sure they were also a part of Katie’s life. Being the only child, Katie spent most of her time daydreaming about the glamorous life of a Hollywood celebrity. While studying in high school, Katie also took on small modeling jobs in Chicago. After graduating, she took advantage of a Track scholarship and attended a Liberal Arts College in Wisconsin, where she graduated with a degree in Business and Marketing. In 2004, she worked as a real estate agent and eventually took some acting classes in the hopes of developing her craft. After her brief stint in America’s Next Top Model, Cycle 1, Katie went on to work in big films like “The Break Up” and “The Lake House.”
As a Finalist on America’s Next Top Model, Cycle 1, Katie was criticized for appearing too sexual in her photos. The second challenge called for another swimwear photo shoot, this time for Stuff Magazine. Katie was the second to be eliminated because the judges felt her sexual appeal was detrimental for her career as a model.
After Top Model, Clearly appeared in movies such as The Break Up and The Lake House. She was also a model on Deal or No Deal. She currently holds case number 11.
