Biography

Born June 2, 1978, Justin Jake Long but known to Hollywood as Justin Long, is an American actor born in Fairfield, Connecticut. His mother is a stage actress, while his father is a philosophy and Latin professor at Fairfield University. While attending Vassar College, he was a member of the sketch comedy group Laughingstock. He has starred in several plays, but left college in order to pursue his acting career.

Justin Long first appeared on screen in the 1999 sci-fi movie Galaxy Quest. This was followed by a role as Donald, two years after, in the comedy Happy Campers. He is also known for his portrayal of Danny Jenner in Jeepers Creepers and Jeepers Creepers II. In 2004, he regularly appeared in episodes of the TV Series Ed, playing a maladjusted high school student. In that same year, Justin Long played Hal Nestor in Raising Genius and was the voice of Dwayne in Hair High. He is noted for his role in Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, opposite Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn.

His film credits also include Wake Up, Ron Burgundy: The Lost Movie in 2004, and Waiting…  in 2005. He is also known for his role as Kevin in Herbie: Fully Loaded, where he acted alongside Lindsay Lohan. In 2006, he was cast in Dreamland, and The Break-Up. Justin Long has appeared in other TV shows such as Campus Ladies and That 70’s Show. He was given the lead role of Bartleby Gaines in the comedy Accepted, and played Matt Ferrell in the action film Live Free or Die Hard, co-starring Bruce Willis. He has made a guest appearance in the documentary Wild West Comedy Show. Long was also the voice of Alvin in the 2008 musical comedy Alvin and the Chipmunks.

Long is also credited for his depiction of a Mac in Apple’s Get a Mac commercial campaign.
