Born on July 15, 1979 in Echuca, Victoria, Australia, Travis Fimmel is a former fashion model and actor best known for his role opposite Patrick Swayze on the A&E drama The Beast. Growing up, he was the youngest of three brothers. When he turned 18, he moved to Melbourne and played football while studying project manager at RMIT University. When he broke his leg, however, his football career was untimely suspended. He then started to pursue modeling in 1998, after a booker from Chadwick Models approached him in a Melbourne gym. He later on became the star of a Calvin Klein campaign called Crave, which led to his bagging the title role in The WB’s failed Tarzan. He also appeared in two music videos, "I'm Real" by Jennifer Lopez and "Someone to Call My Lover" by Janet Jackson. In 2009, he was cast opposite Swayze on The Beast, which was canceled after one season.
