A Scottish actor Tommy Flanagan first found work as a painter, a decorator, and a disc jockey before becoming a professional actor. He became part of the Rain Dog Theatre until Mel Gibson spotted him, which eventually led to his breakthrough role as Morrison in 1995 movie Braveheart.
In 2000, Flanagan got even more exposure as he appeared in the movie Gladiator, alongside Russell Crowe. He played Cicero, the loyal friend of Maximus. This paved the way to more movie roles for Flanagan, who was then cast in Sin City, Dead Dogs Lie, All About the Benjamins, Strictly Sinatra, Hero Wanted and Smokin' Aces. On TV, he also made his mark through roles on 24, Detroit 1-8-7 and Sons of Anarchy, where he currently stars as Filip "Chibs" Telford.
-He has been married three times. His first marriage was with Rachel Flanagan, his second was with Jane Ford and his third is with Dina Livingston, whom he married in August 2010.
