Selena Gomez is a singer and actress who was born on July 22, 1992 in Grand prairie,Texas. The only child in her family, she grew up enjoying acting, singing, and cheerleading. One of her earliest roles was on the children’s television show Barney and Friends, where she played the role of Gianna. Gomez is close friends with her fellow Barney alumni, Demitre Lovato, and both of them have worked for the Disney Channel. Among the other series that Gomez has acted in are The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and Hannah Montana. She also had roles in feature films such as Walker, Texas Ranger: Trial by Fire and Spy Kids 3-D Game Over.
