Maura Tierney was born on February 3, 1965 in Boston, Massachusetts. As an actress, she got her first break in the show Student Exchange. Her first starring role however was on a low budget film called Dead Women in Lingerie. But she has come a long way since then as she has appeared in films like Liar Liar, Primary Colors and Forces of Nature. In the second season of Celebrity Poker Showdown, she won over Lauren Graham. At present, she is part of the television show ER as Dr. Abby Lockhart.
