BIOGRAPHY

Anastasia Phillips is a Canadian actress born and raised in the suburb of Etobicoke, Toronto. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from the University of British Columbia. She owes her shift into acting to a professor, who encouraged her to pursue the stage. With her beauty and sheer talent, Anastasia Phillips has always been a standout in the Canadian theater scene. While in theater school, she appeared in various student productions. She played two highly acclaimed roles in the Arts Club Theater Company production of The Diary of Anne Frank and in the challenging Vegas-set production The Optimists. Her portrayal of the title character in the former won her instant critical acclaim, enabling her to take home a Jessie Richardson Theatre Award for outstanding female performance in a lead role. On The Optimists, she got a chance to portray an antagonist, Teenie. She has said in an interview, “You have to have a certain amount of heart for any villain—a vulnerability, an idealism, and a forgiving quality.”

After graduating, Anastasia Phillips has immediately worked on every acting opportunity given to her and hasn’t stopped since. In 2006, she did some dubbing on the animated show Fumi and the Bad Luck Foot. She was cast as the title character, Fumi, and has worked on many other projects. She followed this up with a bit role in the TV film Cradle of Lies, starring Dylan Neal, Shannon Sturges, Natalie Brown and Philip Craig. Anastasia Phillips was next seen in 2007’s Christie’s Revenge, where she was cast as Selene Harverston. The made-for-TV crime movie was written by Douglas Jackson and also starred Cynthia Gibb, Daniel Kind and John Wesley Shipp. Phillips soon landed the role of Tabii on Soap Net’s Canadian drama series MVP. Her character is the long-time girlfriend of Trevor Lemonde, played by Dillon Casey.
