Alison Brie began her acting career at the Jewish Community Center in southern California. Upon graduating with a theater degree from the California Institute of the Arts, she performed in several theater profiles, while also working as a clown.
Brie made her screen debut in 2006, playing a minor role in the Disney series Hannah Montana. The following year she joined the cast of the acclaimed AMC series Mad Men, playing Trudy Campbell, the wife of Pete Campbell (Vincent Kartheiser). She earned an SAG Award for the performance, along with the cast.
In 2009, she joined the cast of the NBC comedy Community, playing the cheerful yet brooding Annie Edison. She also appeared in the films Born, Montana Amazon and Scream 4.
