American actress Abigail Spencer was born on August 4, 1981 in Gulf Breeze, Florida. She began appearing in local pageants when she was just four years old, eventually winning the state title at age 11. She was also an accomplished vocalist during her high school years, being a member of her church’s choir and eventually traveling to Germany. Throughout the next few years, she studied drama and dance, and eventually starred in a school production of Grease. It was during the time when she auditioned successfully for the daytime soap All My Children, for the role of Rebecca Tyree. After graduating from high school, she moved to New York to join the show’s cast in 1999, and staying there for the next two years.
Her next major television role came in 2006, when she was cast as the lead in the drama series Angela’s Eyes. She played the role of FBI agent Angela Henson, who had the capability to determine whether people were lying by observing their body language. Her other television roles include guest roles in CSI, Gilmore Girls, Ghost Whisperer, How I Met Your Mother, Bones and Moonlight. She also appeared in several films, including Campfire Stories, Truth and Dare, Hooked, Jekyll and In My Sleep.
