I’m positive you’ve seen this already, but what the heck, I’ll ask you that question again.  Have you seen the New Moon poster?

The film’s out on November 20, but this early we get a glimpse of how it’d look like.  There it is, right below, the poster in all it’s brown, smoky, weirdly-posed glory.

So it essentially sums up the second Twilight book quite well: Edward’s left, Bella’s hurt, Jacob’s there for her.  You see the pain in Edward’s eyes.  You see the concern in Jacob’s pose, although I’m slightly wondering about why he has to turn his back on Edward (but I leave that to cinematic license; it’s cinematography, after all).  You see that growth spurt on Jacob: there’s the muscles, and the clenched fist–clenched fist?–but, is that arm hair?  Oh, right.

I’m a little weirded out at how Bella looks like, though.  Does she really have to look straight at the camera?  It feels like she isn’t really part of it.  But I’m just putting too many meanings to this.  I apologize.

But that’s not the only early glimpse of the second Twilight film that you’ll get.  Wait a little longer, until May 31, and you’ll get a sneak peek at New Moon, presented by the cast themselves–Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner–at the MTV Movie Awards.  So, you can watch a clip, watch if Twilight will win an award, and perhaps record it for ogling until the film finally comes out.  That should suffice.
