I smell trouble.  No, really, I smell trouble.  Not blood.

Or maybe I do smell blood, considering what True Blood star Stephen Moyer said in an interview with Marie Claire magazine.  And, knowing where this goes, well, it'll start some sort of feud between True Blood fans and Twilight fans.

Yep, Edward Cullen fans, I'm looking at you.


Anyway, here's what Moyer--also known as Civil War-era vampire Bill in the hit HBO series--told the magazine about the character: "He's a pussy!  He's the Slim-Fast, Diet Coke of vampires."

All hell might pretty much break loose.  Let me try to quell a few things, then.  I've been reading the article and I think something's unclear: who is he exactly aiming at?  The Marie Claire bit points squarely at Pattinson, who's busy shooting (and getting bloody) for Remember Me.  Part of me thinks, however, that Moyer's comparing both of their characters.

Then again, I've seen Edward-slash-RPattz fans come to the rescue, and basically hit back against Moyer's statements.  Well, there are some comments saying that True Blood and Twilight are basically different--one's toned down and the other's spiked up--but there are some who go, "How dare you say that!  You are the pussy!  Let me count the ways..."

Or maybe it is a tongue-in-cheek comment.  And I think it is a tongue-in-cheek comment.  I don't think the two are fighting it out, just because vampires are back, and two of them are fighting it out for attention.  It's just folks like us who are making it big...
