A former Bel-Air resident is dropping by Genoa City this week.

Tatyana Ali, best known for portraying Ashley Banks on the NBC comedy series, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, will guest-star on two episodes of CBS’ The Young and the Restless.  Ali will play a Roxanne, Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton Eric McClure) date to Lily Winters’ (Christel Khalil) divorce bash.

Ali’s appearance on The Young and the Restless will mark her first foray into daytime drama, but the 28-year-old actress has been working non-stop since Fresh Prince of Bel-Air left the airwaves in 1996.  Her other acting credits include Jawbreaker, Kiss the Girls, Half &Half, Glory Road and Fastlane.  She will also appear in the upcoming films Nora’s Hair Salon II, Privileged and Hotel California.

In addition to her acting career, Tatyana Ali has dabbled in the music industry, having released an album called Kiss the Sky, which featured her hit songs “Daydreamin’,” “Boy You Knock Me Out” and “Everytime.”

Tatyana Ali will appear on The Young and the Restless on September 17 and 18.

This week’s serving of The Young and the Restless will prove to be a treat for avid followers of the show.  Lily’s divorce party is only one of the many highlights on the show this week.  Readers take heed, some spoilery ahead.

• Still on the divorce party, Lily will get an unexpected kiss from her friend, Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard).

• Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) finally decides to take his relationship with Karen Taylor (Nia Peeples) to a more romantic level.

• In an effort to get closer to Sharon Abbott (Sharon Case), Jack (Peter Bergman) decides to come clean about Jabot, but troubles brew as Gloria Bardwell (Judith Chapman) plans to release damaging evidence.

• An offer to reduce her jail sentence may leave Phyllis Newman (Michelle Stafford) obligated to Victor (Eric Braeden).

• Amber Moore’s (Adrienne Frantz) plan proves successful as the stolen money is found, while Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) makes a deal for Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart), Amber and Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei).
