Over its 11 season life, NBC's The Voice
has seen some incredible talent come across its stage. The singing competition has quickly become a leading reality series in its genre, picking up over 30 Emmy nominations. Each season, we anxiously watch to see who will be successful in taking home the crown on The Voice
. While the show is widely successful, are its winners equally prosperous in their post-Voice
career? Let's take a look back at all the past winners of The Voice
and find out what they're up to now.
From the Worst to the Best of The Voice Season 11 Battle Rounds>>>
Season 1: Javier Colon
Javier won the very first season of the series with his smooth R&B-pop melody voice. During that season, the finalists each recorded their own singles, which each sale of on iTunes counted as an extra vote towards that singer. Javier's song "Stitch by Stitch" ended up hitting no. 17 on the Hot 100 that week, giving The Voice
a hit single.
Since the show, Javier has signed with Universal Republic Records, which released his debut album, Come Through For You
. After it didn't do so well, Javier left Universal Republic and released an independent album called Gravity
Season 2: Jermaine Paul
The soul-singing winner of season 2, Jermaine Paul, was once a backup singer for Alicia Keys (who later judged on the show).
Six months after he won The Voice
, Paul released his single, "I Believe in This Life," which didn't see much success either. His debut album is still unreleased in 2016, despite winning a record deal as apart of the show.
Season 3: Cassadee Pope
Cassaddee was the first Voice
winner to see some success after the show. The singer got a top 40 hit with her debut single, "Wasting All These Tears," eventually going platinum. She also earned an additional four more hits on the Billboard's Hot Country Song chart with her debut album, which a whole reached no. 9 on the Billboard 200. She went on to have her own documentary series on CMT and even win Breakthrough Video of the Year at the CMT Music Awards. These days, you can catch Pope on tour, where she's opened for Rascal Flatts, and most recently, Tim McGraw.
Season 4: Danielle Bradbery
As one of the youngest winners of The Voice
, Danielle released her debut single less than a month after her season wrapped, at just 16 years old. She signed with Taylor Swift's Big Machine Records, where her single was able to reach no. 58 on the Billboard Hot 100. Later on, she toured as the opening act on Brad Paisley's summer 2013 tour and was also a finalist in another competition, Fuse's 2013 Best New Artist. Her second album is currently being recorded, with its single "Friend Zone" having already released.
Season 5: Tessanne Chin
Tessanne's debut album Count on My Love
reached no. 41 on the Billboard 200, but had the record lowest sales of any prior Voice
winner at just 7000, says Fuse
. Despite that, she's gotten the opportunity to perform at the White House with Aretha Franklin, Patti LaBelle and Ariana Grande, and even duet with Ne-Yo at the 2015 Daytime Emmy Awards.

Season 6: Josh Kaufman
After his success on the series, Josh made an interesting and unprecedented choice. He gave up his record deal and went to perform on Broadway. Kaufman played as Pippin in the Broadway hit with the same name. He is currently working on a self-titled album.
Season 7: Craig Wayne Boyd
Craig's first single post-Voice
rose quickly to no. 1 on the Hot Country Songs chart, and he followed its success with a 65-date national tour. He eventually parted ways with his record labels, Universal Republic and Dot Records, and currently releases singles independently.
Season 8: Sawyer Fredericks
Sawyer Fredericks won The Voice
at age 15, making him the youngest winner in the show's history. He broke iTunes records as nine of his songs reached the iTunes' Top 10 Songs chart, and his debut EP reached no. 49 on the Billboard 200. Fredericks is currently on a west coast tour.
Season 9: Jordan Smith
Jordan made Voice
history as the first singer to hold both first and second spots on the Hot Christian songs charts. He performed "You Are So Beautiful" with David Foster at the 42nd People's Choice Awards
, and his debut album, Something Beautiful
, reached no. 1 on the iTunes album sales list. He also got engaged in early 2016.
Season 10: Alisan Porter
Alisan also helped make history on The Voice
by being the first contestant to win with a female coach, giving Christina Aguilera her first win. Aguilera even partnered up with the winner for one of her singles. Her debut album Everything I've Been Through Comes Through in My Heart
is currently in progress, with no release date yet announced.
