The plan to bring Bonnie back to realm of the living failed on last week's The Vampire Diaries since Silas is still alive. In "Death and the Maiden," Mystic Falls as become overloaded with doppelgangers with Katherine, Elena, and Amara, plus Silas and Stefan. Is it too late to for Silas and Amara to pass on to the other side, while saving Bonnie?

Official synopsis: While Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) try to explain Amara's (Nina Dobrev) situation to Stefan (Paul Wesley), Dr. Wes (guest star Rick Cosnett) gives Katherine (Nina Dobrev) some deeply disturbing news. Nadia (guest star Olga Fonda) shows up at Caroline's (Candice Accola) dorm room, searching for Katherine. After a surprising conversation with Amara, Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) and Bonnie (Kat Graham) share a glimmer of hope. Silas (Paul Wesley) fails to keep a promise, causing Damon to turn to Tessa (guest star Janina Gavankar) for help with his new plan, and Stefan makes a heartbreaking confession to Damon and Elena.

Jeremy has news regarding Amara, "It turns out that it's not gonna be that easy to keep Amara alive." Bonnie worries about whether it will hurt or not when the other side is destroyed.
Jeremy has three things to tell Bonnie:
1. "This is not a goodbye." He believes Bonnie will always be there.
2. "Thank you for giving your life up for me."
We'll have to wait to find out number 3.
