Last night on Real Housewives of Atlanta, Kandi Burruss’s Mama Joyce tried to get arch-enemies NeNe Leakes and Kim Zolciak to set aside their differences and become friends again. After the episode, NeNe reacted to the awkward dinner scene on Watch What Happens Live.

“You know, I feel like we’re all adult women, and we have our own children, and we have our own husbands and men. We are fully grown women,” NeNe told Andy Cohen. “I really really like Joyce, but I have to say she was out of line.”

When Andy pressed her, sticking up for Mama Joyce by saying she was just trying to help, NeNe, as usual, stuck to her guns.

“I can get that [she was trying to help],” she said. “But the deal is, she’s Kandi’s mom and she’s not our mom. And we are women. We are not children in high school.”

NeNe also stressed that just because she and Joyce are friends, doesn’t mean that Joyce necessarily knows the whole story. “She only knows what she hears over there. She’s never come to me and asked me ‘NeNe, what’s happened?’ She only knows what she hears on that side, so I just don’t think it was appropriate.”

Andy asked NeNe about how weird it feels to sit at the same table with someone and not even acknowledge them, and if it have been more comfortable if NeNe and Kim had at least exchanged pleasantries. After at first answering with a simple “No,” NeNe went on to explain her reasoning.

“The truth is, I think that as I said earlier tonight I think that when enough is enough, it’s enough. And sometimes people can do things that go just too far. And then there are times when some people grow and others stay the same. I am into growing and not staying the same.

To be very honest, I haven’t spoken to Kim in almost two years. And let me just say, growth is a beautiful thing. Some people grow a little bit slower than others. So maybe she had to grow soft, I don’t know and I don’t care. However, I wish her the best in whatever she’s doing. I’m growing. And I don’t want negativity around me. All the negativity, I do not need it.”

So hopes of a NeNe/Kim reunion are definitely dashed for now. But there’s always this season’s Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion, where Andy Cohen will surely make it his prerogative to get these two Atlanta divas to hash it out.
