Since getting married on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Cynthia Bailey and Peter Thomas have gone through a lot of struggles on the Bravo series, including cheating scandals and fights with other co-stars. And now that they are no longer together, fans can expect to see their divorce play out in season 9.

On Tuesday’s episode of The Real, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star confirmed that the end of her marriage will play out in the upcoming season.

“Yes, you will see it play out,” the 48-year-old reality star said. “Peter and I, we’ve always been very transparent in our relationship and it’s worked for and against us at the same time. Just being on the show, I think it’s been important for us to just really keep it real, like you guys do.”

While Bailey wants to be open as possible about what she’s going through, she also admits that it’s tough to watch her relationship with Thomas.

“So yes, you will see it play out. And, it’s kind of hard because we got married on the show — we’re actually the only couple who got married on The Real Housewives of Atlanta — and to have to go through a divorce on the show is not easy, but I think the only thing more tragic than divorce is being in something that’s not working anymore,” Bailey added.

Bailey and Thomas appear to be civil with one another following their separation but that doesn’t mean there won’t be awkward moments on the show.  In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Bailey reveals that co-star Kandi Burruss and her husband, Todd Tucker, invited Peter on a trip which got awkward.

“It’s good days and bad days,” Bailey told ET. “We’re really going through this process for real. I don’t normally see Peter unless we’re filming, to be honest, at this point. We just recently came from the all-cast trip, Hawaii, and that was a little awkward at first, because obviously we don’t go on vacations together outside of the show.”

“It’s not easy,” she added. “I’m doing the best that I can do with it. I think I want to just show my truth, and just live what is really going on. But at the same time, I feel I have to protect some of the things, you know, in my marriage. At the end of the day, reality TV or not, it’s not everybody’s business. Not every single thing.”
