It's no secret that Hugh Hefner is now one girlfriend down.  The Playboy founder and his number one girlfriend Holly Madison, who also stars on the reality series The Girls Next Door, have parted ways after Madison let it slip that she is no longer with Hefner, putting an end to weeks of speculations about the real score of their downhill relationship.

While talking with a videographer about the annual Halloween party at the Playboy Mansion, which is usually featured on The Girls Next Door, Madison said that she was dressing up as Elvis and the camera man started hinting that he'd like an invite to the party.  However, Madison couldn't accommodate him, reasoning that she couldn't change the guest list because she's not with Hefner anymore.

"I have no pull anymore. Hef and I aren't together, I can't invite people," Madison said.

Although their split was something anticipated in the future, given that Madison and Hefner don't share the same sentiments, especially when it comes to building a family, Hefner says he's been "down in the dumps" about the split.

"If Holly says it's over, I guess it's over," Hefner told The Associated Press.  "She's still here in the house.  Until a few days ago, we were still sharing the same bed."

Evidently, Madison has been distressed after Hefner told her that they would never wed or have children.

"The fact that she was depressed after that, I didn't know at all,” he added.  “That was a revelation in the last days and weeks.  Quite frankly, we thought when the time came, we would make a combined statement and we expected that combined statement would be somewhere in the weeks and months ahead."

On the other hand, fans of The Girls Next Door need not worry as there will still be another season of the E! reality series.  According to Hefner,  Madison and his two other girlfriends Bridget Marquardt, and Kendra Wilkinson are still committed to a sixth season, though he plans to seek out new live-in lovers.
