Last week on The Biggest Loser: Couples
, Filipe found himself going home in what was otherwise a very good day for everybody else in the ranch. It's achingly schmee--"schmee" being my term for emotional--and achingly inspirational, since it was the here's-how-far-you've-gone part of the competition. The politics faded away, and while some strategy still had to happen, you can't help but feel anything very intense--well, anything but happiness, I presume. Or, in my part, that gooey attempt to stop myself, to no avail. You know what I mean.
It means another thing: control of who wins the entire thing is slowly shifting towards us. The final four--Ron, Mike, Tara and Helen--have now returned home for roughly a month, attempting to lose more weight (which should be effortless now) and then do one more weigh-in. Two will move to the finals, where we vote for who wins the entire thing, which is probably moot since, well, look at them!
Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.
But there's still, of course, the return to the ranch, the last last-chance workouts, and one last challenge--a marathon. A full marathon. I can't help but remember the hoopla about Dane not completing a marathon he was running after getting eliminated from the ranch--although, of course, that's beyond me now, because I don't pin the blame on the former contestant. Anyway, it's 26.2 miles, and at this stage, they can sure go that far--maybe without the time pressure--because they've never been fitter in their entire lives. For us at home, we'll be treated to more former winners: Ali Vincent and Michelle Aguilar return, as well as at-home winners Jim Germanakos, Heba Salama and Bernie Salazar.
Oh, right, whoever finishes the marathon--I guess regardless of whether you're first or not--wins $10,000 to donate to their charity of choice. Plus former winners cheering them on. Nice, right?
And then, the final eliminations, before we start voting for the live finale which happens next week. All of a sudden, I realize time has flown so fast. The Biggest Loser: Couple
