CBS has big plans this May, scheduling several high-profile returns with a special twice-a-week format while also announcing finale dates for all of its current shows.
The long-awaited fifth season of Person of Interest will premiere Tuesday, May 3 at 10pm, with subsequent new episodes airing on both Mondays and Tuesdays at 10pm until the finale on Tuesday, June 21. So the entire 13-episode season will run in just seven weeks.
UPDATE: CBS has no confirmed that Person of Interest has been cancelled, so season 5 will be its last. This means the June 21 season 5 finale will now serve as the show’s SERIES finale.
Similarly, the final season of Mike and Molly will return on Monday, April 25 at 8pm, and for the following three weeks, it will air back-to-back new episodes at 8pm and 8:30pm until the series finale on May 16.
Adding to the confusion, The Odd Couple, which premieres season 2 on Thursday, April 7 at 8:30pm, will also air new episodes on Mondays at 9:30pm starting May 2.
The network has also announced the finale dates for its current line-up of shows, including the series finale of The Good Wife on May 8 and Michael Weatherly‘s final episode of NCIS on May 17.
CBS also has a trio of primetime Price Is Right specials airing at the end of May, using successful CBS shows (Survivor, The Amazing Race and The Big Bang Theory) as themes.
