All these changes to So You Think You Can Dance‘s upcoming season mean one thing: a return to familiar faces. And you’ll be really happy about this.

First up, Mia Michaels is returning to the show! E! Online reports that she’ll be back both as a judge and choreographer. Happy news for us who missed her quirky magical routines last season–remember, she suddenly quit before the sixth season began to recharge her juices.

Mary Murphy will also return to her SYTYCD roots, alternating as judge and choreographer in the seventh season, which starts May 27.

This season also sees the return of the rotating judges panel: Tyce Diorio, Lil C and Debbie Allen, among others, will return to the judging panel along with regulars Nigel Lythgoe and Adam Shankman. There can be, according to Nigel, up to four judges in a given episode.

The judges also get a lot more power in the upcoming season. While we can still vote every week to choose the bottom three, the judges will eliminate one dancer every week until the finale. In previous seasons, the judges had elimination powers until the Top 10. Then again, we’ll only have a Top 10 and not a Top 20.

Finally, Nigel revealed on his Twitter page the very first SYTYCD contestant to join the “all-star dance pool”: season 4’s Twitch Boss.

These all-stars are returning, as previous announced, to act as partners for this year’s Top 10. Nigel will announce another addition to the pool tomorrow, and we’ll let you know the moment we know who it is.
