Kevin Can Wait (Mondays at 8:30pm, 8pm after Thursday Night Football Concludes)

Comedy veteran Kevin James (King of the Hill) makes his return to television in CBS’ new irresistible comedy about a newly retired police officer who is looking forward to spending more time with his family as well as his fellow retirees. Things aren’t as relaxing as Kevin hoped they would be, as his oldest daughter soon announces she’s dropping out of college so that she can support her fiance. Kevin sees that his only option to get them on a straight path is to bring them both under his roof. Retirement isn’t as fun as he’d hoped.

Man With a Plan (Mondays at 8:30pm after Thursday Night Football Concludes)

Speaking of epic comedy actors returning, everyone’s favorite Friend, Matt LeBlanc also heads to CBS for an all-new sitcom. LeBlanc plays a contractor named Adam who realizes just how difficult it is to raise three kids when his wife goes back to work. With a new shift in dynamics, Adam adjusts to the new way things are going to work in his house to hilarious effect. Though the trailer and pilot will feature The Office‘s Jenna Fischer, CBS has different plans for the rest of the series. Unsatisfied with the chemistry between LeBlanc and Fischer, the network has decided to recast Fischer’s role, much to the dismay of Office fans. Maybe CBS was expecting a Jim and Pam-like onscreen chemistry, but unfortunately for them, nothing will ever come close to that. “Jam” forever.

The Great Indoors (Thursdays at 8:30pm)

The Community star Joel McHale stars in this insightful and timely new comedy that centers on a well-known adventure reporter who has spent his life exploring the edges of the earth. However, he now must take a desk job in the digital department of a magazine, and struggles to adapt to the new world order of journalism. He’s finds difficulty in getting on-board with the culture of  click-bait articles and listicles. Even more-so, he struggles with understanding his staff of millennials who write about the great outdoors without ever actually setting foot outside. We’ve seen that McHale has had great success in creating humor at the differences between himself and his younger cohorts in Community, so a series that spotlights this as its main point of the series should be pretty easy for him.
