Natasha Komis may not have won Paris Hilton's My New BFF since she was just recently eliminated on the competition but she ultimately got what she wanted: some exposure and some fun in the sun.  This New Jersey rocker may never be best friends with Paris Hilton but, after giving her the time of the day, she has grown to genuinely care about the hotel heiress.

“It took time to get to know Paris' character.  But she is an awesome girl, and I care about her now,” Natasha Komis told the New York Daily News.  “A lot of people don't know this about her, but she really wants to have friends and she's really sweet.”

Although she's now enjoying her friendship with Hilton, Komis reveals that being her best bud isn't why she joined Paris Hilton's My New BFF in the first place.  In fact, she was offered the part while sitting with her band in a trendy Chelsea diner since producers were looking for a “hard-rocking N.J. chick.”

“They saw me and thought I had a 1980s style going on,” Komis recalled.  “They said, ‘We need a girl like you to be on the show; are you be willing to do it?'”

Of course Komis agreed to do it because she saw it as a job and not because she really wanted to be Hilton's best friend.

“That's what everyone is on the show for,” she said.  “But if you watch it, you'll see I don't take well to doing that.”

Prior to joining Paris Hilton's My New BFF, Komis has already been part of social circles that included Simon Rex, Tommy Lee and Rock of Love star Bret Michaels.  So as expected, she was baffled by her star-struck roommates on the show.

“I'm not used to hanging around with kids who are coming in from Texas and the South.  I've been living this life in New York and have millions of celebrity friends.  They were acting like it's a big deal.  I'm a city girl and that was annoying to me,” she said.

Despite of this, Natasha Komis had a blast on  the show.

“It wasn't awful.  I had fun,” she said.
