LOST is, without question, the driving force behind the renaissance of the Twilight Zone-esque denouement; those moments where the story takes such an unexpected turn that you leap from your seat, and blurt out profanity like a Tourette’s afflicted couch potato. The show's critics have taken aim at the island mystery by saying that
LOST is really nothing more than a loosely bundled package of joy-buzzers and whoopee cushions, all surprise and no substance. Fans, of course, are a little more cognizant of the carefully planned twists and turns that make up
LOST’s weirdness saturated plot.
