LOST is, without question, the driving force behind the renaissance of the Twilight Zone-esque denouement; those moments where the story takes such an unexpected turn that you leap from your seat, and blurt out profanity like a Tourette’s afflicted couch potato.   The show’s critics have taken aim at the island mystery by saying that LOST is really nothing more than a loosely bundled package of joy-buzzers and whoopee cushions, all surprise and no substance.  Fans, of course, are a little more cognizant of the carefully planned twists and turns that make up LOST’s weirdness saturated plot.

Whether you think LOST has been weird for weirdness sake, or it all means something, the producers now have the unenviable task of explaining the island’s mysteries in three years.  No more, and no less.  With that in mind, we thought it would be interesting to take a look back at some of the moments that define the wonderfully weird mystery that is LOST, and make an inventory of some of the strangest moments of the show’s first three seasons.
