Apart from The Practice, Lara Flynn Boyle caught the attention of TV viewers with her participation on Las Vegas. As Monica Mancuso, she appeared self-centered and tyrannous. She was the former owner of the Montecito who married an 83-year old billionaire when she was 25 to inherit his fortune upon his death at age 93. In an effort to prove her supposedly clean intentions, she persisted on making the Montecito a success. Unfortunately, she died in a freak accident in season three when she was blown off the roof of a building and down the strip into a shoe store. Because many disliked her, casino employees disposed her ashes by flushing them down the toilet.

Boyle landed a role in the movie Land of the Blind after getting killed of on Las Vegas. She starred as the First Lady in a plot about a solider and his relationship with a famous political prisoner. Interestingly, she starred in the 10-minute comedy called Fwiends.com, a short film about a cat that was carrying on correspondences with online suitors. Next, she appeared on The House Next Door as Col Kennedy, Shades of Black: The Conrad Black Story and on the comedy Insatiable.

This year, Boyle will be gracing the silver screen with the movie Have Dreams, Will Travel. Set in the 1960s, the plot centers on two 12-year old kids and their quest to find new and cool parents. Directed by Brad Isaac, the film includes Val Kilmer, Matthew Modine, AnnaSophia Robb, and Cayden Boyd. Next year, the 37-year old actress will be starring in Life is Hot in Cracktown, a drama about various stories on how cocaine penetrates the inner-city streets.
