It's getting hard to keep track of where you might find
Scrubs actress
Sarah Chalke on television these days. The NBC comedy disappeared for over four months due to the writers' strike, then finally returned earlier this month to Thursdays at 9:30pm following
The Office. Now the network has announced that they'll be moving the remaining episodes of the series to 8:30pm, swapping the show with
30 Rock for the remainder of the season.
However, even if you can't remember when
Scrubs is on, you'll still be able to catch Chalke on
How I Met Your Mother. It was announced today that the actress will be returning to the CBS comedy after making her first appearance in the infamous Britney Spears episode.
Many fans will be thrilled to see Chalke reprise her role as Stella on
How I Met Your Mother. She was first introduced on the March 24 episode as the doctor that removed Ted's (
Josh Radnor) tattoo, and there's been much speculation that she may be the "mother" of the title. According to Michael Ausiello of
TV Guide, Chalke will return for the season's third-to-last episode. It's unknown if she'll be in any installments beyond that, but if she really is the mother I'm sure we'll see her again.
Over at NBC, the network didn't give a reason for swapping
30 Rock and
Scrubs, but it could be yet another attempt to get
30 Rock more viewers. The time slot after
The Office is more highly coveted than the slot after
My Name is Earl, and with rumors that
Scrubs may move to ABC next year, the network is probably more interested in promoting
30 Rock. Both shows have three episodes remaining this season, and the time slot change will go into effect this Thursday.
How I Met Your Mother airs Mondays at 8:30pm on CBS. Since it's not on NBC, it should be staying in that slot for the foreseeable future.
